"i liked it"
it was a little unbelievable but at the same time brought the thinking of two different worlds togather the division and decisions were believable the story kept my attention and it was not just another amish love story
"Good Read."
Good story. I love Amish books. I really enjoyed this one. Did not want the story to end. A pleasure to drive and listen. It is like watching a movie in your head while you listen. Good Job.
"Enjoyable Series"
Yes, I would listen again. This is a series that keeps your attention and is not hard to picture.
Rebekah was my favorite character. She showed such faith and endurance.
I think I like the part when Jessica met Jake the best
Learning to live Amish
I love books!
"interesting"
This book was the fourth author of Amish books I've read so a first time author for me. It was engaging and interesting although not quite as intriguing as the Cindy Woodsmall and Beverly Lewis books. This might have been better if it was the first book set in Amish lands I'd listened to. I wonder why Amish books always seems to be set in Lancasster County, PA? I know it must be the center of the Amish world. But, there are Amish in southern Iowa, where I grew up, and no one writes books set there. But Amish books are like Hallmark movies, which I like, and show a good, simple way of life with good values and give us life lessons that we could all live by, if we just would. I don't believe I could take the Amish way of life but I do find it interesting. With every Amish book I read I keep realizing that beneath that Old Way veneer there are people just like the rest of us with hopes and reams, they are human beings, too .
"I wanted to like it"
I really wish I could say this was a better book. I just feel like the writing was very repetitive, almost like the author was just filling space to make the book longer. I did not like the way it was narrated at all. Unfortunately, I will avoid any more books by this author and this narrator. I hope to find a similar Amish series that will be more satisfying for me. I did love the spiritual aspect though and overall found it was uplifting and positive.
