"Roby succeeds with Casting The First Stone"

Kimberla Lawson Roby explores the lives of the church leaders who struggle with their emotions and reactions and the impact of their choices on those closest to them (family and church members). She shows the reader the differences between those who stand in scripture, and those who live as hypocrites, and how what is in the dark finally comes to light. The author vividly paints the emotions of each character who is casting the first stone. A very good and interesting read.

    "What a great book"

My niece recommended I listen to this book, and I usually listen to murder, mystery, etc. This book kept me listening for hours at a time and I was surprised by the beginning, middle and end! The ending was superb because it opens your eyes to one's own spirituality and relationship with God, family and friends. This book is definitely a must read/listen regardless of what genre you prefer to listen to...it will keep you on your toes at all times. GREAT BOOK!

When Curtis gets what he deserves in the end

If you could take any character from Casting the First Stone out to dinner, who would it be and why?

Alicia, because she was the only one that wasn't deceitful

This book should teach you that you shouldn't put all your trust in man and that you should follow the Preacher as he follows Christ. No person is exempt from Sin.

"roby did a great job with this book"
What did you love best about Casting the First Stone?

    the climax in the church.

What did you like best about this story?

i have read several roby books. i like them all but they lack depth. this book had a little more depth that i don't want to say. as i don't want to give away things to first time readers of this book.

What does Caroline Clay bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

well, i would be skipping lines and my eyes would give up after one paragraph (i have an eye problem : - D. being read to is really a nice experience. it is very difficult for those of us who have visual problems. i would not be reading anything. THANK YOU AUDIBLE!

If you could rename Casting the First Stone, what would you call it?

CURTIS, THE KINGFISH WITH THE DOUBLE STANDARD

    Any additional comments?

i have enjoyed roby books but had decided that this would be the last as i wanted more depth. but i enjoyed this one so much i have changed my mind. i will buy another title by roby.
