RITA Award winner Robyn Carr is a New York Times and USA Today best-selling author. In this 19th installment of her Virgin River series, Tom Cavanaugh returns home to take over his family’s apple orchard and settle down. Single mom Nora Crane is nothing like the kind of woman he thought he’d fall for—yet he can’t take his eyes off her. And while they have different concepts about family, they soon find out how quickly those ideas can change.

"Mood Enhancing Series"
I enjoy this Virgin River series when I want light reading (listening) with a feel-good ending. This book is a good addition to a light series about normal men and women with everyday lives and problems -- there are no super powers, no world-shattering conspiracies, no extreme technology or special effects. These are stories about people I can relate to and understand.
Although I'm usually a stickler for reading a series in order, this book can stand alone. Other characers from around Virgin River are included, but this story does not rely on their histories. However, if you're interested in Reverend Kincaid and Ellie, you can go back to read Forbidden Falls, or if you want to find out more about Jack and Melinda, you can go back to the first Virgin River book (very humerous and touching). The Riordan brothers have their own books in Moonlight Road and Wild Man Creek. As for the narration, Therese Plummer's performance of Robyn Carr's books will alway improve my mood!
"Happy Ending to a trouble life."
Yes but only because Therese Plummer does a GREAT job at bring the book to life. I read and listen to the book.
For me it was her happy ending, she got the man and her dad.
EVERYTHING she is the best!
The part where her father told her that she had no making up to do that it was him that owed her.
I loved loved this book and cant wait for the next in the series.
"Great Series!"
I have totally enjoyed this series. It was nice to follow all the characters through these books. I do suggest you start with the first in the series and follow it through in order. Each story introduces you to a new part of the town and you follow many of the characters and get updates through each book and you learn the story of new characters. This is really a great series and the narrator is really one of the best. I totally recommend this series from start to finish.
"The Virgin River series is outstanding."
Yes, I have listened to every book in the VR series more than once.
Bringing Nora and Tom back from minor mention in an earlier book and giving them character and substance. In both cases, the story was neither contrived nor a "fairy tale".
Ms. Plummer is an exceptionally talent performer. I have listened to books she has performed for other authors. Her projection of a character goes way beyond the voice she develops. She has been consistently outstanding.
Excellent read.
I just Love the Allure of a Great Romance...a Pair of Rose Colored Glasses...some Fine Wine, and a Subscription to Audible...
"Love it...Love it...Love it!"
Robyn Carr provides fun, entertaining stories, and Therese Plummer does a very nice job with the narration. Her voice is pleasing to hear and she is able to do believable male voices every bit as well as female.
While you might recognize a similarity in the rhythm of all of her "Virgin Creek" novels, there is enough difference to make each one enjoyable. The repeat characters in this series are very likable, and it is fun to "spend time with them" in each. Very enjoyable and definitely credit worthy.

"Not my favorite Robyn Carr"
There was a lot of build up creating the characters and starting to see their attraction to each other but it seemed that the ending was very rushed. To go from employee/employer, friends, one date and wham...I love you and let's get married in less than 2 months?? Just didn't work for me. It almost felt like she got tired of writing and just decided to put the two together and move on to her next book. She gave lots of clues to who the characters will be in her next book and hopefully it will be more interesting than this one. I'm still a fan but Robyn don't rush the ending on the next one!!
As always Therese Plummer is wonderful, if it wasn't for her narration I wouldn't have finished the story.
"Love this series!"
I love listening to books in a series. This series uses some key characters in each book but doesn't make you feel like each book is a review of the all the other books in a series. The narrator is perfect. I enjoy these books!
"As enjoyable as all others in the series."
A great listen all on its own and a wonderful addition to the Virgin River series. I have enjoyed this series so much I listened to them all again in sequence before treating myself to this latest addition.

"Pleasant little series for light reading"
Pleasant, predictable, light-weight
I find the entire Virgin River series to be enjoyable for a day at the beach or a plane ride or any other time when light reading can take you to someplace pleasant.. While the story-lines are totally predictable, the characters are very likable and feel like old friends. I will say that the men are (more than?) a tad fantasy-like with their protectiveness of women, combined with a new-age respect for women's rights, and a total selflessness when it comes to pleasing their women sexually! Where were these guys back when I was looking?
It's interesting that when Plummer is speaking as Jack, or Preacher, or any of the other men in the series, I never think of her as anything but male! In the beginning of the series, I was able to tell every guy by their "voices", though as more and more men have been introduced, it has become more difficult to tell Jack from Lief or Collin or Denny, etc. Still, she does a fantastic job with voices!
I chuckled occasionally.
I would tell my friends looking for a pleasant, easy read to pick up any of the Virgin River books!
"Another great one!"
Characters are real. I love seeing a mom who would do anything for her kids.
Therese Plummer has such a pleasing voice you can really get lost in the stories she is reading.
