Back from their honeymoon, Senator Nick Cappuano and D.C. Police Lieutenant Sam Holland are ready for some normalcy after the whirlwind of their wedding, but someone has other plans for them. When Sam discovers wedding cards containing thinly veiled death threats, she's not sure if she or Nick is the target.
Already on edge, Sam and her team start investigating a series of baffling murders. The victims are wellliked with no known enemies, and the murders are carried out in a clean and efficient manner. Unable to find a clear motive for the deaths, she feels like she's chasing her tail.
With no obvious connection between the victims, Sam soon suspects that she may be the ultimate prize in the killer's clever game. When the danger starts to hit a little too close to home, she has two goals: find the elusive murderer and manage to live long enough to enjoy her happilyeverafter.

I read so I can write
"Flaws but not Fatal Ones"
This is a good series. That said, I have a complaint. It is how the back story breaks the forward rhythm of the story. Most readers who buy into a series know what has happened in the previous books. This is the fourth book in the series and having to re-read everything that happened in the first three becomes boring.
This story, like the last one mixes in three or four romances between several people while exploring a very interesting mystery. I like this about this series because it really lets you get to know all the characters in the books. It is energetic on the part of the author and except for the issue about back story I mentioned, it is well done.
"I loved this book"
The story was very well written and the characters feel real
The party at Sam and Nicks house
Yes...I really like the way she narrates and her voice is easy to listen to.
Yes, and I did listen to it all in one sitting...more than once!
I absolutely love Marie Force and the whole Fatal Series...I would love to see her other series released by Audible as well

"Another book worth the money"
Another book that kept my attention till the end, the only thing I thought was going to happen, was when Sam took the two pills for her headache, and then came the migrane, I thought someone had put something in the bottle other than headache med's. but still another winner, now to the last book, can't wait....
"Great Story and Great Narrator!"
Yes, I love this series. It funny, suspenseful and keeps you glued to your computer!
There were too many.
Sam is my favorite character. Although she does a great job with all of them.
yes but couldn't do it.
This is a great series. All of the books are well written and have real characters that we can care about. I love the way Nick and Sam are with each other, and the quirckiness of their personalities. I can't wait for the next book to come out!
