"Screw it, I just wasted my money!"
He reminds me of Bobby Knight...he was popular..he won games...but he was full of crap. Knight's crap was his anger and abuse...Branson's is self love and self adulation....you can learn from both about strategy but you also have to deal with the crap. I will save you money so u don't have to listen to him tell you how awesome he is:
- Do what you love
- Believe that you can succeed
- Never give up
- Don't listen to the naysayers.
He learned all that from his Mum...he is not some brilliant innovator but followed a brilliant strategy ..he just knew what the people wanted and went into action. His nature was formed by his Mum...he emulated her....he got rich because he did the same thing she did but in profit making companies....that's it.
With some bits of strategy, he mostly talked about his social concerns; basically, to put it in an analogy - he said how he's wonderful because he gave a poor man a fish and announced to the world that it was HE that gave the poor man a fish...but he solved nothing!!!! The poor man was just as hungry the next day! Teach him how to fish and THEN teach him how to sell at the fish market and he'll be fed everyday as well as his family and neighbors.
Note to Branson, Bono and rich folks who love glorifying themselves about how they help others, but really don't help anyone - you want to lessen hunger, lessen disease, lessen wars?....then follow me....I know how to do it.....BUILD UP THE FREE MARKET SYSTEM IN EACH OF THEIR MAJOR CITIES!!!!!!
Save your money and buy a book about Steve Jobs. You will get great ideas and the motivation you're looking for without the continuous nauseating self praise.
"Terrible only heaving hot air"
pathetic talking about himself, no management. Waste of time i wish i had read the reviews earlier.
"enjoyed it!"
Good insight into his life and a must listen for anyone who has his own business.
"Amazing Book, great audio and narrator"
It was my first audibook since I was on 8th Grade on 1998, since I'm mostly visual, I didn't like the idea of listen to a book, but I found the reviews on the book pretty interesting and also that Sir Richard Branson is a man to admire. Well I gave it a try and guess what? I love it, I listen to them while I'm on traffic so I make the most out of my time, and the book is a gate to open your mind and start to get those ideas and projects on the run.
the push Sir Richard Branson gives you through out the book and explains you that everything has to be right, do the things right, focus on people and the world not only in money.
When he starts to explain Gahia Capitalism
yes
I loved the Book, I'll will purchase it on paperback since the book is worth it.
"The eloquent Branson"
Richard Branson's new book, 'Screw It, Let's Do It,' is a great read. He offers wonderful insight to anyone in business, and offers wonderful tidbits from his own incredible personal and professional experiences.
At times, his chapters lose their focus and veer off path, but overall, the chapters are very well thought out and well written.
Adrian Mulraney does a superb job narrating Sir Branson's book.
"Great Courage – Simply inspiring"
Yes. If you have a Dream you can make it come true – have the courage to step outside the square.
Orangising business deals from his dorm room and using the pay phone to contact the Big Wigs.
Sir Richard
No - a bit too long for on sitting.
It’s clear from the start that Sir Richard Branson was not ordinary kid! Sir Richard shows great courage at such a young age to embark upon the business world with nothing but Big Dreams and coins in his pocket for the pay phone. This is what the ‘Success Coach Gurus’ preach – take action with what you have at the time – don’t wait for everything to be ‘perfect’ before you start. It’s the theme for the whole book – the courage to just do it! Great listen – I thoroughly enjoyed it.
"This is absoultely inspiring"
A must read for anyone who is a procrastanator. His story is so motovational and inspiring. Why wait till tomorrow - screw it just do it. Highly recommend

"one of the best books on goals & achievements in"
audio book deffinitley saved time as it allowed me to listen while being engaged on other work and I enjoyed the content far more better than having to read the book it self. If the hard copy was bought I still would be reading. Whats needed is you get the message out of the content and this audio book served the purpose equivelent to a hard copy. There wasnt any difference.
Lets do it is the the first book I got as an audio book. from audible.. may be armstrong's its not the bicycle can be compared to this. I have only listened to the sample from amazon
the feeling that its read by the author himself
never give up... ( not very catchy though for a movie name!! )
"another autobiography, different book cover"
i think sir richard branson has run out of insightful things to say.
NO
sure
??
dont buy, its a rehash of his life. the promotional is good but nothing to gain. i really like richard branson and his history but he has run out of things to say that are worth listening. i mean, space travel?? what happened? are you not rich enough already? how about something socially redeeming for the billions in this world?
