Reckless, wild, and beautiful, Lily Lawson delights in shocking proper London society – and now she is determined to rescue her sister from an unwanted impending marriage to the notorious Alex, Lord Raiford, by fair means or foul. But while she succeeds outrageously, Alex is a master gamesman who is not to be undone.
Alex has lost one bride, yet he is enchanted by this remarkable lady who is willing to break any rule to flaunt her independence. When Lily offers him only scorn, he counters with kindness, and he parries her blistering barbs with gentle words and a soft, tender touch. The spirited miss will pay dearly for her interference – with her body, her soul, and her stubborn, unyielding heart. But will Alex's own heart be the prize to be won in this sensuous game of love?

"Addictive"
Lisa Kleypas is addictive. I found Ms. Kleypas's work when the first Wallflowers book was on sale and I have been hooked ever since. But as you go back through her work, all her characters seem connected in a history that will make since to readers that follow her work but you don't necessary have to read them all to enjoy each novel. Then Came You seems to be the beginning of the history and is a beautiful love story that appeals to all romance lovers. And the story only continues in each novel that Lisa Kleypas writes. The only thing that makes her work better is the narrator, that gives every character a unique voice that is so amazing, it's made it impossible for me to read a book if I know there is a production out there that she has performed. I have yet to be disappointed by the combination of Ms. Kleypas and Ms. Landor's work. I have however, had sleepless nights since I can't seem to shut my IPOD off! If you love historical romance, you will love anything written by Lisa Kleypas, but I would start with Then Came You and then Dreaming of You. You won't be disappointed!

"Great story!"
Great characters and storyline. Loved the narration except for how Derek Craven is portrayed. The male lead is about the best I've come across. Quite credit worthy!
"One of my favorite Lisa Kleypas books"
This is one of my favorite Lisa Kleypas books. It is one of those books that was hard for me to put down, even to go to sleep. The story was engrossing, and I loved all the characters. I highly recommend it!
"Entertaining- worth the time and Credit"
I enjoy Lisa Kleypas books a lot, though they do seem "formula" written (many of the books have the same plot arcs, though different plots). That doesn't take away from the enjoyable characters and the good narration. Worth the credit.
I have a very fast paced life. Audio books are an awesome alternative for me. Long road trips, working out and housework arn't a bore.
"WELL DONE!"
Excellent reader and the novel is fun, exciting and compelling. This is my first book by this author. It certainly will not be the last.

"This and "Dreaming of You" are dynamite!"
I loved this book and the continuation with Derek Craven's story in "Dreaming of You"! I only wish there had been more books in this series - like Henry's story (Alex's younger brother).
"Romance at it's best!"
Romances just don't get any better than this. You can't miss when choosing a Lisa Kleypas book, be it contemporary or historical, she never disappoints. The narrator is outstanding as well. A perfect pair.
Graduated college, got a job, got married, traveled, had children. Breathing air and growing hair.
"This one might go to the Desert Isle."
This book hits all the notes in tune likeable characters, mistakes, tragic pasts misunderstandings, romance then happily ever after. My only itch is that it dwelt in the misery of Lily's loss in a less than excellent way. It seems to me she would've been able to figure out a solution long before the time it finally was resolved. Overall this one was well worth the credit.
I've always been a avid reader so now I'm a avid listener. I prefer the paranormal genre but I do like to switch things up. It's boring if you don't have variety. Of course I do love the romance and the hotter the better. Also, you can't beat a good thriller filled with suspense and a ending you can't even guess at until the very end.
"Lovely Romance"
Yes, I totally enjoy audio more. That way I can do other things and enjoy my books too.
When Lily saves the bear. But she does so many things in this book that's entertaining that it's really hard to pick a favorite.
This is the first time I've listened to her and I think she did a fabulous job.
This book is very enjoyable. I usually listen to a different style of books, but this one is refreshing. If you do not want to listen to books with very explict love scenes then this one would be good for you. The story is very entertaining with romantic love scenes.
It's worth a credit for someone who enjoys historical romances. This one in my opinion was very good.
