Crescendo: Hush, Hush Trilogy, Book 2

Nora's character is so damn nosy! It makes for a great story, but i am just shaking my head the whole time.

Really? You're going to trespass again? or No, people just hide things because it is fun, they don't need their privacy or anything. [<--- I should mention that sarcasm font would've been helpful right then]

I cringe thinking about all the crazy things girls do, especially after a break-up. I really enjoyed this sequel. Patch continued to be a mystery even though in Hush,Hush we saw a kinder side to him. Usually once the bad boy has reformed he loses his bad boy tendencies, but this character keeps his and i loved it.

I don't want to give too much away, but i will say that the mystery in this book was great. The story branched off in multiple tangent mysteries, but by the end it all came together nicely. I am not sure i liked the ending though. C'mon a cliffhanger! That is just cruel. If you hate cliffhangers you may want to wait a year so at least you'll have book 3 to read right after.

Narrator:
I could've sworn this narrator had a better Irish accent in Hush, Hush. This time it sounded strange. Other than that she was entertaining and kept the story going on a nice pace. I enjoyed her.

I have a few bones to pick with this book. Not only is Patch a jerk in this books, but Nora is too! She is so close-minded and prideful that it prevents her from seeing the truth. I found her hard to relate to in this book, because sometimes she was just being plain stupid. Read it, and you’ll see. Don’t get me wrong, I am still a big fan of the Patch x Nora relationship and I will be reading Silence when it is released. I just wish that Fitzpatrick could have toned down Nora’s stupidity, pride, and naïveté a bit.

In Crescendo, the mysteries of Nora’s past are revealed and investigated. But as I said earlier, sometimes Nora was extremely dumb with the way she went about things. On the upside: There were several large twists kept me on my toes guessing! These twists put quite a bit of stress on Patch and Nora’s relationship. If you like tension, then this book is for you. I personally, found myself getting frustrated at the two of them for the way they handled things. I know I’m making it sound bad, but despite everything I’ve said, I still love the characters and the story. And honestly, what I stated above, is the only thing that I was able to find wrong with this book.The Hush, Hush series has a strange hold over me. Must have something to do with the whole “star-crossed lovers” thing.

Caitlin Greer, the narrator, did a great job! She made every single voice different. So much that I feel if she spoke to me in each voice that I could identify them no problem. She did an especially wonderful job with Rixon’s Irish accent. Overall this was an entertaining listen that I would definitely recommend!

Yes, I am contemplating buying the third book in the series. The Narrator did a good job. The story about drove me mad. Nora Grey (the main character) basically screws everything up, her back and forth character in emotional stubbornness is the reason for %99 of the problems. I had a real challenge trying to finish this book because %75 percent of the book was her own thoughts of what was happening serious schizophrenia. I had to fast forward it a few times, if it wasn't for my Daughter edging me on to finish I would have broke my iPhone and felt good about it (LOL). If you are more left brain, you will not be able to read this book.

Like I said, I am going to buy the third book in this series and pray it is not like this one. If it is I am never listing to either my Mom or Daughter again! :) Group Hug!

The last 2 chapters brought it all together. I didn't see what was to happen as it came all together quickly.

In this case I think the movie would be better then the book. Don't use the same directors as Twilight series did OMG!! That movie series could have been so much better if a real director had picked it up.

I expected Nora to have some powers in this book, I was completely bummed by her lack of abilities. Her only super power was weak spidy senses and super selfish self-centered emotionally unstable'ness! ARG! Shoot me!

This book was okay but was a little of a let down compared to Hush Hush.

I liked it, but I got tired of Nora jumping to wrong conclusions over and over again. It was kind of painful to listen to it. It reminds me of Alyson Noel's Immortal series. The author, like Alyson, sticks the knife in and twists it and just when you think things are looking up, she pulls the rug out from under you again. At least the ending has some resolution although it leaves you hanging over a cliff so you'll have to read the next one.

I really enjoyed . Now I just have to wait for the rest of the trilogy and hope they are as engaging and entertaining!
