When the human and the vampire worlds collide, there will be hell to pay.
Luca Ambrus is a rare breed: vampire from birth, begotten by vampire parents, blood born. He is also an agent of the Council - the centuries-old cabal that governs vampirekind, preserving their secrecy and destroying those who betray them.
When a cryptic summons leads him to the scene of the brutal killing of a powerful Council member, Luca begins the hunt for an assassin among his own people. But instead of a lone killer he discovers a sinister conspiracy of rogue vampires bent on subjugating the mortal world.
All that stands in their way are the conduits: humans able to channel spirit warriors into the physical world to protect mankind. Chloe Fallon is a conduit - and a target of the vampire assassin who's killing them. When Luca saves her life, an irresistible bond of trust - along with more passionate feelings - is forged between them. As more victims fall, Chloe and Luca have only each other to depend on to save the world from the reign of monsters - and salvage their own future together.

"Good start for a series"
Humor, mystery, Sci Fi with alittle sex thrown in has made for a fun book to read. A great start for a series. The ending was a bit of a cliff hanger so I hope there will be more to follow.
"Not a fantasy fan but still LOVED it!"
Even though I should have been studying, I could not stop listening to this book. I enjoyed it so much that I was glad the ending of the book had some loose ends that can lead to stories for some of the other main characters. I sure hope there are further stories in the works for Nevada, Sarin and the character hinted at in the ending of the book.
"Good book, don't let the cover art fool you!"
I didn't get this book for a long time despite the good reviews because the cover art was so cheesy. The old adage regarding books and covers has been proven to me once again. I found this book really entertaining, the world it is set in was interesting without being too complicated, and the characters were about as multi-dimensional as you get in books like this (with the exception of maybe the BDB series). Best paranormal romance I've listened to in a while.
"Enjoyed Blood Born... a lot!"
Wasn't sure what to expect with this book and it was a great surprise.. and ride. Luca was a yummy character and the story drew me in.
"Excellent story well told"
Blood Born was a nice surprise. As "vampire" books go, this one is far more fleshed out than most. It's length and the writing style give depth to the characters and the plot which I often find lacking in some books of this sub-genre. While Blood Born is a complete book in and of itself, it leaves room for sequels, which I will definitely get when they come out. Vanessa Hart told the story well, her accents were adequate and not at all distracting. Overall a wonderful story, and well told.
"Great book!!!"
I didn't know what to expect from this author but I was absolutely blown away by the book. I'm not one to write reviews unless it really captures my attention and this one did. I couldn't put it down. I can't wait for the second one in this series.

"TWO WRITERS MEAN TOO MANY WORDS"
I read the good reveiws and purchased. What I missed where the reveiws that said the story was wordy. As you listen to the narrator you start to wonder when she was going to get back to the story and get off how a character feels or felt years ago that really did not move the story along at all. Just words and description that the writers wanted to add. It almost feels like they got paid per word, because there were alot of them that the story really does not need. Also, there were some parts of the story that were repetitive to the point of being completely useless to the story any longer.
"Waiting for the second book"
Great Book
really don't know their Vampires and Warrior was so different from most Vampires & Warriors books and the 2 Linda had just got started on their story, I feel like they just left me hanging. Where is the second book?
Vanessa is ok, and if the 2 Linda will do the second book and Vanessa read it, I will buy it.
Blood Born
Please, Please do the second book
"Great...Great....Great!"
This book was a little slow at first, probably because it is a first in the series. Once it got started it was great. One of the best Linda Howard books ever. She did a fabulous job with this one. Keep listening if you think it is slow at first. It gets better.
"BLOOD IS VERY INTERESTING"
I will admit my first impression of this book was there is too much talking in one’s head and not enough interaction between characters. I still may think this especially in the beginning of the book, but I continued to listen. As the story developed so did my interest in the story and it’s characters. This tale is patiently built into one of the most interesting vampire stories I’ve listen to in while. There is intrigue, murder, sensuality and an offbeat humor from both the vampire and human perspective. It may be a long listen, but in the end I believe it was necessary. I will get the next book because these folks have my interest. I think mister bad boy Soren is the most interesting character of the book. It will be fun to see where the authors take him in the next book. There is subtleness to the strong love relationship that builds in intensity between Luca and Chloe that the authors captured quiet nicely in the book. Yes this is worth the credit.
