Publisher's Summary

It's a case that haunts Bobby Dodge to this day - the case that nearly killed him and changed his life forever. Now, the gruesome discovery of six mummified corpses resurrects his worst nightmare: the return of a killer he thought dead and buried.

Bobby's only lead is wrapped around a dead woman's neck. Annabelle Granger's childhood was a blur of new cities and assumed identities. But what or who her family was running from, she never knew. Now a body is unearthed from a grave, wearing a necklace bearing Annabelle's name, and the danger is too close to escape.

Dodge knows he must solve the mystery of Annabelle Granger, and to do that, he must team up with his former lover, partner, and friend D. D. Warren from the Boston P.D.

From its beginning to its shocking climax, Hide is a thriller that delves into our deepest, darkest fears - where there is no one to trust, where there is no place left to hide.

    "Outstanding!!!!!!!!!!!!"

If you are looking for a great listen that combines an excellent story with an outstanding story teller, then look no more. Ms. Reed is by far one of the best readers yet! Her talents combined with Ms. Gardner is . . . well I like to think of it, "when the clouds part and the stars are just right." You will not be disappointed with this selection because Ms. Gardner is one of the best authors of the times. Ms. Reed is, again, an outstanding story teller. Thank you both for one of the best works that I've had the pleasure to listen to in a long time!

    "Gripped"

I won't outline the plot as others have already done this, but I was quite gripped by this book. I recently listened to and enjoyed the "Survivors club" and if anything I think I enjoyed this novel even more. The plot certainly kept me guessing to the last - download and enjoy.

    "Fabulous"

This book is great. Lisa Gardner had the ability to capture your attention and hold it from start to finish. She keeps you wondering who the villain is or if there is a villain until the end of the book. Be sure to also read "Gone" if you have not done so. It will give you more depth into the characters in "Hide. She consistantly writes great suspense.

    "Excellent first read"

This was my first Lisa Gardner, excellent. I blew through it in two days. I'll listen to some more, for sure. It was fast paced, action packed, interesting characters. It seemed to be a step above the normal thriller.

    "one of her best"

I enjoy almost all of Lisa Gardener's books. I burned Hide to disk and listened in my car. At certain points in the book I would drive around the block or sit in my car just to keep listening. A very satisfying listen.

    "A Welcome Twist"

At the beginning, I didn't think that i was going to like this book. But as time went on, I got really attached to each of the main characters and was engrossed in the book up until the unforseen twist at the end. I even felt a little tear well up inside me at the end. I enjoyed every minute of this book, and the surprise twist at the end...no one likes surprises, but this one made a great book better.

    "Didn't want to stop!"

"Hide" is the very definition of a thriller. The characters were vivid and distinct and the story line kept me on the edge of my seat. Kudos to both the Author and the Narrator for a job well done.
