The modern dominican idiosyncrasy beautifully entangled between historical facts and human intimacies. It is hard not to think you are reading a real story due to the authenticity of the characters. The narrators definitely added to the richness of the experience.

What did you love best about La breve y maravillosa vida de Oscar Wao [The Brief Wondrous Life Of Oscar Wao (Texto Completo)]?The book is character-driven in a credible way. The light touch of magical realism works well. I liked getting a flavor of Dominical life and political strife.
What about Jesus Martinez and Laura Gomez ’s performance did you like?The performances are excellent, they embody the story without overpowering it.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?It's got pathos and bite- made me smile and wince.
Any additional comments?I'll definitely read more Diaz.
