William Bernstein is one of today's most unlikely financial heroes. A practicing neurologist, he used his self-taught investment knowledge and research to build a popular investor's Web site. Now, in the plain-spoken The Intelligent Asset Allocator, he shows independent investors how to build a diversified portfolio without the help of a financial advisor. A breath of fresh air for investors tired of overly technical investment tomes, this book will help investors:

"Great intro to asset allocation"
Dr. Bernstein does a great job summarizing the passive investor's approach to asset allocation. This is a valuable book, whether you are a novice to investing, or want to hear the fine details about every asset class and the Gordon equation....I can't wait for the next edition of this book.
"Another excellent read"
There is some over lapping of materials but that for some this allows for a good refresher. Definately not a one time read, but bite size portions are unquestionately worth it.
"Good for starters, & refresher for Pros"
I think that this is a great book. This got me started with basics of investing in mutual funds.
