Unfortunately, the more they uncover about the secret of Gauntlgrym, the more it looks like they can’t stop it on their own. They’ll need help, and from the last people they ever thought to fight alongside again: Drizzt and Bruenor.

Any additional comments?Gauntlgrym is one of the best bits of fantasy Ive ever read. I was really not aware of Salvatores work until a friend recommended it. From what I understand Salvatore has a rich history with fantasy literature. Im just sorry I never knew of his work before now. Gauntlgrym has great character development,action packed fights, and he paints some of the most decadent worlds Ive ever imagined. If you are a fan of high fantasy you owe it to yourself to give this book a chance. IMHO you won't regret taking the leap.

"My 2nd favorite book by R. A. Salvatore!"
Would you listen to Gauntlgrym again? Why?I plan to listen to Gauentlgrym many times over. I own The Orc King, Pirate King, and Ghost King and have listen to them over 50 times each. The Legend of Drizzt Stories are great and well worth listening to again and again!
What was one of the most memorable moments of Gauntlgrym?The beginning and the ending. I can't say what happened but there roller coasters!
What about Victor Bevine’s performance did you like?I guess hes good but I enjoy Mark Bramhall performance much better. He read The other books.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?I found it elf!
Any additional comments?If your a fan of the Drizzt stories buy the audible books and enjoy them for hours!

"a bold new path begins for D&D's favorite Drow"
What did you love best about Gauntlgrym?Drizzt's is finally breaking with all the familiar trappings and coming to terms that all the old friends and loved ones he found at his side for aid and direction in life are going or gone and he must fine a new reason to live. Of course RS is handling this beautifully and leaves me with nothing but confident optimism and well as anticipation for what lies down the road for my favorite D&D based recurring hero. This books does a beautiful job of expressing the pain of having to move on from a chapter in your life yet transitioning wonderfully as the changing from 3.5 to 4.0 for Forgotton Realms leaves the world that Drizzt lives in ripe for new adventure.

"Highly recommend"
Where does Gauntlgrym rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?This is one book you don't want to miss out on.
What other book might you compare Gauntlgrym to and why?None, as i haven't heard to many audio books thus far but, i loved this book.

"Annother Home Run!"
I have been a fan of R.A.Salvatore's work since the Crystal Shard hooked me and sent me down this path. Gauntlgrym is another epic beginning. If your new to the Forgotten Realms or an old adventurer like myself, your going to love this book!
True to his style, the action is awesome! and you don't want to put the book down.

Old ones in new directions the story was very creative and different
What did you like best about this story?The story behind gauntalgrym using the a fire elemental god
To forge magical weapons and armor and the rising of the dead
From the ashes of the lava. Also taking drizzt later in his life as an elf.
What does Victor Bevine bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?Talent action brings the characters to life and adding to their depth with his amazing voice
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?The reaction the older characters have to certain situations makes me laugh

"Moving on"

Who was your favorite character and why?The Thay Chick with the Staff, because she's not your typical Villian. She has a little more dimension.
What does Victor Bevine bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?Well he can read while I'm working :D which I can't do.

"fantastic"
What made the experience of listening to Gauntlgrym the most enjoyable?The story is everything you expect amazing fight scenes and the plot.
What did you like best about this story?Jarlaxle is back w/athrogate and working as a team w/drizzt and bruenor
Which scene was your favorite?Bar fight when jarlaxle appears himself to drizzt
