Jordan Rhodes is invited to all of Chicago's best parties, but there's only one the FBI wants to crash. To get her brother out of jail, she agrees to take Agent McCall as her date. But when the mission gets botched, requiring their "relationship" to continue, it starts to feel less like an investigation-and a lot like something else.

"A smart, sexy read." (Nalini Singh)
Audio-addict!!
"Don't miss this one!!!! EXCELLENT!"
I preferred this to the first book in the series. I adored this one. Though I am a little over the wine lover background...
Funny and sexy! Karen White is fantastic! I love the Julie James/Karen White combo!!
"Great Series!"
I really enjoyed the storyline and the characters - although this was wasn't quite as suspenseful as the first one in this series - I still really enjoyed it very much.
The characters and also I enjoyed learning a bit more about wine industry.
She does a really great job of bringing these characters alive.
Yes and I did just that!
Hope that you get the rest of the series on here!
"I loved it!!!!"
Top ten
Julia Garwood, but funnier.
I like the pace and the emotion she brings to the characters.
Yes. I would fall asleep listening to it then wake up and start listening to it again.
This series was so great. I finished it and now I feel like I have lost a friend
Audible Addict. My iPod is my security blanket.
"Fun Series!"
Yes, I would. I really enjoyed the series.
Nick, of course. Julie James makes her male characters desirable.
I didn't have favorite character in particular that Karen performed. She performed all characters perfectly. Karen White really brought the book to life, Loved her!
I love when the lead characters first meet.
Great, fun series!
I enjoy reading series and very rarely read stand alone series. I mostly read romance and sci-fi & fantasy.
"Another good book Julie"
Yes I would. Unlike the first book this one takes you primarily from the male's perspective. It is a different take on love. When it comes to these two communication seems to be key but neither one seems to know how to do it well.
When Nick sits Jordan down in the back of the cop car and tells her that she screwed up his live and that he is in love with her. Probably one of the most heartfelt moments in the entire book.
Jordan's brother Kyle. To me he seems like the type of guy a girl would be luck to get.
When Nick brought Kyle clothes after he got out of jail. He may be interested in Jordan but he still remembered her brother and the things he may need.
"Loved It! need more"
I just loved the story and Karen White does a great job!
i have only listen to karen white in this series
I love this series and just recenty found it and this genre of books and i dont know what to listen to next
"Funny sweet romance"
Banter between the main characters
development of the relationship between Jordan and Nick
the getaway to the wine country
mostly laugh
"strong, sexy, princess"
the humor is great in all the books. This is #2 and humor wonderful.
the relationship between brothers and sister/brother so fun. the books are linked together, but you do not have to read in order.
when Nick talks to his brothers regarding not making the "party"
Karen's pace is great. This saves her not so great men's voice. She can read Ms James works very well. I have gotten use to her voice and now I am enjoying her a lot.
I did not want the books to end.
these are not serious mysteries, but have lots of good pace and story you will love.
Great dialogue, fun, sexy and lots of humor.
"I really liked the first and last book!"
This middle book, although entertaining, did not hook me like Book One and Three. Yes, I listened to them out of order and surprisingly, had no problem with understanding and putting the stories together. This book lagged a little for me because it did take a lot of time talking about wine and didn't have as much action. With that said, Julie James is an excellent writer and Karen White is the perfect narrator for her books. Although I'm not giving this book 5 stars the questions is would I download the next book in this series? Absolutely!

"Good Read, Good Narration"
A Lot Like Love, book 2 in the FBI-US Attorney Series, is a lot of fun! Like book 1, you won't want to put this one down. I thought it wasn't as high tempo as book 1; it didn't have as many action-packed scenes. But the love story was more in depth...more interesting. If you haven't read book 1, don't worry. So far, this isn't the type of series that builds on previous stories. The previous characters only make cameo appearances. One of the things I loved about this book was Nick's perspective. He continually thinks about what he would do or think if he was "one of those sensitive types" without acknowledging that he actually is. And let's face it, what girl doesn't like a tough guy with a sensitive side?
I also love that in books 1 & 2, James has written about intelligent, successful women who waited to meet the right person. Jordan is not one of the silly, overly emotional women romance writers often create. She's a woman you can actually root for and identify with.
Karen White did a great job as narrator. I especially enjoyed her delivery of the more sarcastic/funny lines. And her depiction of Nick was spot-on.
P.S. The dynamic between Jordan and her twin brother Kyle was both funny and endearing.
