"a really good listen!"
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?yes, it was a great read a good man, a single mom trying to raise a young boy. Just a really good reason.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?I did listen to this in one sitting. i was to good to stop i just had to know what was going to happen next.

"Fulfilling Read..."
Narrarator was great. Peele has improved greatly over the years. Zuri makes you a part of each detail. During games I felt like I was on the football field. During Intimacy I felt like I was there too. :)

"Great Work"
Would you listen to Love in Play again? Why?Yes, this is one of the Audiobooks that I would listen to again. I'm actually thinking about getting this one in print. Ms. Day did a wonderful job with the imagery and story line.
What did you like best about this story?I'm a sucker for a good romance. This one was believable. Not only did Day speak on the heart but she also touched on emotional issue of past childhood experiences.
Have you listened to any of Shari Peele’s other performances before? How does this one compare?Yes. She did a wonderful job with the narration of this selection.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?There were times in the book when I wanted to cry. However, I definitely laughed out loud on a few occasions.
Any additional comments?There were so many likable characters in this book. I thought Reggie was too funny, and Jake was just what the doctor ordered for Dominique.

"Wonderful story line"

What did you like best about this story?The challenges and truth about single parenthood and the uniqueness the author displayed in allowing her main character to be a beautiful full bodied woman who embraced her natural beauty.

"One Sassy Couple"
If you could sum up Love in Play in three words, what would they be?Meaningful Invested Moments
What was one of the most memorable moments of Love in Play?When Dominique wanted to apolgize to her son and Jake, for not allowing her son to go on the football trip with Jake. When Jake first offered she took it the wrong way. And if you have a pre teen or a teenager, then you know what that is like. I really liked the way she handled the apologies to both males in her life.
Have you listened to any of Shari Peele’s other performances before? How does this one compare?No. First time listening to her.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?I was moved by the way Dominique felt about investing her time and her son's time with another man who may hurt them and trying to keep her and Jake's relationship from becoming something serious, because she had been hurt before.
Any additional comments?This book did not let me down. First audible I have had with out the actual book in my hand. So at times it was a challenge to sis still and actually listen. The narrator did not disapoint. She made it eady to hear through her voice which character was speaking. I would recommend this book. Zuri Day is awesome. Thank you for remembering the thick girls fall in love too.

"Felt like I was watching a movie!"
Would you listen to Love in Play again? Why?I don't normally do that but i dont think I would mind. I really enjoyed it. That story had me smiling, blushing, laughing, angry, hurt...a whole bunch of emotions!

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?Cry? Nah, but I did laugh...and mostly blushed.
Any additional comments?Its a great story, i enjoyed it alot. I Love Zuri Day's books. Shari is a great narrator. Her voice is nice, and it doesnt have a corny ring to it. I felt comfortable listening to her read.
