At 18, Corinne Bishop was a beautiful, spirited young woman living a life of privilege as the adopted daughter of a wealthy family. Her world changed in an instant when she was stolen away and held prisoner by the malevolent vampire Dragos. After many years of captivity and torment, Corinne is rescued by the Order, a cadre of vampire warriors embroiled in a war against Dragos and his followers. Her innocence taken, Corinne has lost a piece of her heart as well - the one thing that gave her hope during her imprisonment, and the only thing that matters to her now that she is free.
Assigned to safeguard Corinne on her trip home is a formidable golden-eyed Breed male called Hunter. Once Dragos’ most deadly assassin, Hunter now works for the Order, and he’s hell-bent on making Dragos pay for his manifold sins. Bonded to Corinne by their mutual desire, Hunter will have to decide how far he’ll go to end Dragos’s reign of evil - even if carrying out his mission means shattering Corinne’s tender heart.
Spend some more time among the Midnight Breed.

"ANOTHER GREAT ONE!!!"
I was counting the days waiting for this next story to come out and it was worth the wait. Hunter and Corrine's story was very touching. I not only listened but read the book as well. BIG props to Hilary Huber she totally brings you in to the story I almost wish I could meet a "Warrior from the Order".
I have read AND listened to all of the stories (more than once) and I love the fact that none of the stories are the same they all have their own story line. I am so over Dragos and ready for him to go down but I am sure when Lara gives us that story she is going to do it good.
Can't wait till Chase's story is realeased (FYI if you buy the book at the end Lara gives you a quick glance of the begining of Chase's story).
HAPPY LISTENING :)
"A bit of a disappointment-still good!"
Let me start by saying I am a huge fan of this series, and if you are as well, this book is a must listen/read. The story, as usual, is well written and the narrator does a fabulous job. We get to revisit most of the couples from the previous books, continue to build up the struggle between the Breed and the evil Dragos, and we see a lot of Sterling Chase and his downward spiral; and there my friends is where the disappoint comes into play. Hunter has been one of my fav???s since being introduced and I was so looking forward to his story, and well, in my opinion he was cheated! I???ll bet if I go back and try to add up the time spent on Hunter and Corrine???s love story, it???s only a little over a quarter of the book. The bulk of this book focuses on the Breed back in Boston, Dragos??? shenanigans???, and Sterling Chase, all of it good mind you, but I wanted more of Hunter and Corrine. This book is still a good addition to the series and worth the credit.
A thick lawn, running water, and a tree to sit under. That's close to heaven!
"IMMORTALS HAVE FEELINGS!"
The ending really ruined this book for me in the way it just dropped off.
I think so because the first three I tried were really entertaining.,
This book falls to 3 on a scale of 14 being miserable and 10 being what the first 3 I got were.
No
"Love those breed warriors"
A great story and one I was waiting for. Always at the end of each book was the question what about Hunter. Now it's answered. Hilary Huber is a fantastic narrator.
"a great series"

the different spin on vampires
ms. adrian is a very descriptive writeryje na
nothing tha narrator is very good
"KEEP IT COMING......."
I have fell in Love with series, this book leaves you on the edge. I have just finished it and am starting the next book tonight. If you are thinking about starting this series you must start with the first book. They have a little of everything... Action, love, adventure, and something different at every turn. The narrator is great also.
"A Deeper Disappointment"
Having listened to all of the breed stories, I was really looking forward to this book. From the time Hunter became a member of the order I was excited to see how he would evolve as a member of the order. But this book turn out to be more about Sterling's downward spend into the world of bloodlust. I was hoping for more of a push and pull love story between Corriane and Hunter. And they seem to be more of a background to Sterlings story. It would have even been interesting to hear the background love story featuring Gideon and Savannah. Oh well if anything take this book as a launch to Sterling Chase's story.
"Good storyline - narration just ok"
The narrator made the female character sound like a crying wind-up doll. This one "irk" took me totally out of the story which by the way has a good premise and is excellent. It had twists and turns which I didn't expect. Although one reviewer compared this book to the Black Dagger novels by J.Ward I believe this book doesn't hold up to Black Dagger Boys. Hillary Huber the narrator does a good job with the brooklyn dialects but again I did not like her interpretation of the female character. She was whiney to me with no real substance. Next time, I'll read the author's book. The ending is an obvious lead to another book, which by the way, I'll be reading not listening to.
"Loved It"
Wow . . . Hunter's story was everything I expected and more. Loved it.
"Great Series"
Consistency!
Hunter - He was able to keep humanity alive despite his upbringing.
The Louisiana safe house * Chase meeting possibly his breedmate at the party.
Wonderful & Exciting Series of Warriors working to preserve high values!
This is a wonderful series. I have them all and can not wait to continue. I do not like having to wait so long between the stories, but perhaps that is a part of the marketing aspect. Chase's story should be released sooner -- to keep the momentum moving along. Obviously the sales show that people like the books and audiobooks.
