It's Valentine's Day on the ranch but bachelor-cowboy Slim Chance doesn't know it. Sally May tells him to forget about the cows and "Go to town and buy a nice gift for Miss Viola!" Slim hates to shop, but he goes to town (with the dogs, of course) and buys a nice box of candy for Miss Viola. But on the way to Viola's house, Hank and Drover take an interest in the candy and...will there be a Happy Valentine's Day on the ranch? Slim sings a bachelor's opinion in his "Valentine's Song."

"Short But Charming"
I am a devout fan Hank the Cowdog. I am a new member, and the deals on Hank audiobooks are superb, far better than buying CD's. In this story, the author further develops on Drover's and Slim's personalities. It also introduces a few new characters, which will please dog fans. Overall, this is a must-have for any Hank fan.
"Laughed out loud!"
Yes, all the Hank the Cowdog stories are funny and clean and enjoyable by adults as well as children--
Hank is my favorite- he thinks he's so smart-- but it's clear that he is 'deluded'
This is one of his short stories-- but all of them are entertaining and light
I laughed! Hank stories are great 'escapes' from the problems of a day! A little laughter helps keep our outlook bright!
"Review from the Back of the Car-11yr and 9yr old"
Hank is the best! We love listening to these stories. He makes us laugh ourselves silly! This story wasn't the best Hank book. It seemed to start slow, but in true Hank fashion, by the end we were all laughing in the car. Still worth a listen, especially if you are a chocolate lover!
"Enjoyed!"
Yes.... we love Hank the cowdog and found it to be good listening for children.
We loved it when he finally got to have a chocolate out of the box as he longed for the whole day!
they are all very good listening for the children. I like the fact that there is no swearing or obscene remarks in hte story line.
