Publisher's Summary

Pride and Prejudice and Zombies and its prequel, Dawn of the Dreadfuls, were both New York Times best sellers, with a combined 1.3 million copies in print. Now the PPZ trilogy comes to a thrilling conclusion with Pride and Prejudice and Zombies: Dreadfully Ever After.

The story opens with our newly married protagonists, Elizabeth and Fitzwilliam Darcy, defending their village from an army of flesh-eating unmentionables. But the honeymoon has barely begun when poor Mr. Darcy is nipped by a rampaging dreadful. Elizabeth knows the proper course of action is to promptly behead her husband (and then burn the corpse, just to be safe). But when she learns of a miracle antidote under development in London, she realizes there may be one last chance to save her true love - and for everyone to live happily ever after.

More mayhem? Listen to our other Pride and Prejudice and Zombies titles.

    "Best of the Series"

The narration was GREAT! I couldn't stop listening. I don't know that I would have actually read it with the same perspective. The different characters came alive. Ending was a little abrupt and detracted from the overall experience.

    "Awesome addition to the series"

I really enjoyed the first book, Pride & Prejudice & Zombies, and was worried that this third book couldn't live up to its humor & originality. I was pleasantly proved wrong, and actually enjoyed this book as much as I did the original. Having read the other two novels in this series (or rather, listened to them), the characters are fully formed in my mind, and this continuation of their struggles against the dreadfuls was very well done.

Katherine Kellgren did an excellent narration - her voices for the individual characters were "spot-on" and never overdone, and I felt she really came into her element in this story. I was very impressed with her timing and her tone - she conveyed the obvious humor perfectly. At one point in the story, a character pops into the scene by talking first - and the reader knows exactly which character it is by Ms. Kellgren's performance. I honestly enjoyed the narration as much as the book itself.

I highly recommend this book, especially if you enjoyed the first one!

    "A Great Time!"
Would you listen to Pride and Prejudice and Zombies: Dreadfully Ever After again? Why?

Yes. It was amazingly fun and I enjoyed it very much.

What did you like best about this story?

I love the narrator, Lizzie Bennett and zombies.

Have you listened to any of Katherine Kellgren’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes. I believe she has read other regency novels I have listened to. She's amazing.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

    ABSOLUTELY!

    Any additional comments?

This was a great 3rd book in the series. Jane would be proud as I am sure she has a sense of humor.

    "The Series ends?"

I read the first book in the series and then continued to read the rest of the series. The first book 'Pride Prejudice & Zombies' was written as a stand alone book. Then came the 'Dawn of the Dreafuls' and 'Dreadfully Ever After'. The second book does not follow the first book completely. The third book follows the first one better and the second on completely. Here we see that 'Happily Ever After' doesn't always happen. We see the 'Darcy's' after a year of marriage. Here we see where something simple that we all would do and it turned their lives upside down. We see the 'sisters' work together to get a solution to a problem. We also learn the source of the 'plague'. We also get to see London burn to the ground. Parts of the story are guessable.

"Episodic Content As Compared to Books 1 and 2."
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would recommend this book as a continuation of the other two books in the series, but it would not stand on its own without some attachment already established with the Characters. In this case, it was a relationship that was well established and make the book a good read.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

The book had very few high points after reaching a climax in the first pages. It almost reminded me of a book written completely for a conversion over to a movie. The scene descriptions were lacking in places. The fights were, if played out in real-time, only described to the length of a few seconds.

What does Katherine Kellgren bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Katherine Kellgren is absolutely wonderful with her voicing of the characters. Without her I feel that the book would have been discontinued within the first few hours as a lack of forward momentum and predictability.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I listened to this book in sessions of 1.5 hours at a time. That was sufficient for the pace of the book.

    Any additional comments?

I would recommend the consumption of the books in order to avoid a lack of interest in the characters in this shift book.

    "Not As Enjoyable"

I was pleasantly surprised and greatly enjoyed Pride & Prejudice & Zombies, but I have just started listening to this and I am not enjoying the storyline at all. The performance is wonderful as always, but I don't like where the story is heading. Will come back and revise this review after I have finished the book, but it may be a while since I don't find myself looking forward to it at all.
