    "Fantastic!!!"

This is one of my favorites from Kleypas. I enjoy the steady incline of the plot and the intricacies of each character, but my favorite is how she closes her novels. The epilogue leaves the reader with true closure and a warm heart. More than anything I enjoyed the narrator. Rosalyn Landor is by far the best. I don't know how she does it, but the male characters sound rough, masculine, and sensual, while the female characters are delicate and beautiful. This is a must read!!!

    "I'm glad I found it..."

A story by Lisa Kleypas and narrated by Rosalyn Landor is an automatic buy for me. All the stories are good, interesting and romantic. And a good story only gets better with a great narrator that adds so much emotion and depth to it. If you like historical romances you will enjoy this story about two people that were meant to be together despite time and distance...

"Winning Combination: Lisa K. and Rosalyn L."
Where does Somewhere I'll Find You rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Lisa Kleypas is one of my favorite Historical Romance Novelists, and when teamed with Rosalyn Landor - you can bet you will be listening to another winner.
Having said that, Somewhere I'll Find You is definitely worth the credit; although, it is far from my favorite LK novel.
The Hathaways, and Wallflower series, respectively are amazing, can't put down, loving every character, audios! If you haven't purchased these audios yet, you really must consider them.
Somewhere I'll Find You is good, but it took longer to gain my interest, and "investment" in each character. I knew though, that once I had given it a chance, it would be worth it, and that I would enjoy the journey.
In my opinion, if you have not been exposed to LK or RL yet, begin with The Wallflowers, and then The Hathaways. Put this novel in your wish list and revisit it later.

    "Mild and Tidy."

I've been indulging in a lot of Lisa Kleypas lately. I find her books soothing and a great escape. Especially as read by Rosalyn Landor. This one was very much like the others, though it didn't stand out for me. I think the problem was the female protagonist. She was independent enough to become an actress to support herself at a time when that profession was scandalous, but not strong enough to realize she was in love . . . ?

That was just weak. A woman like that would know what she wanted and go for it. So much time was wasted with her in denial that it kind of ruined the whole book. And the male character was a neanderthal. Period.

Dear Ms. Kleypas: You have a good thing going. Stop making your female characters so stupid, and your male characters so one dimensional. Thank you, a loyal fan.

Would you try another book from Lisa Kleypas and/or Rosalyn Landor?

    Love Kleypas and Landor!

Would you be willing to try another book from Lisa Kleypas? Why or why not?

Always! But This Heroine was frustrating and bland... Hero came off as a brute.. not even a likeable brute :-) Ending was lackluster... I always judge a good book by asking if I would read/listen to it again... this one was a no... but it wasn't bad or awful.. just average

    "Good 19th century read"
Would you consider the audio edition of Somewhere I'll Find You to be better than the print version?

Yes. The narrator has a good range of voice variations, it makes it a pleasure to listen to.

What did you like best about this story?

I always like a period romance, especially when the main characters ave strong personalities.

Have you listened to any of Rosalyn Landor’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Ms. Landor has a beautiful speaking voice, very magnetic, easy to listen to. She always draws in the listener.

    Any additional comments?

One critique -- I find it rather unbelievable that society would not be scandalized for a duke to marry an actress, akin to a prostitute in this era.

    "Easy read"
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I'm not a period romance reader but this was an easy, excellent read!!!!

What did you like best about this story?

Not an overwhelming amount of period detail, although just enough to know what era you were readng about.

    Which scene was your favorite?

    The fire at the theatre.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No but I was enthralled with the book and finished it rather quickly.
