Publisher's Summary

After spending three London seasons searching for a husband, Daisy Bowman’s father has told her in no uncertain terms that she must find a husband. Now. And if Daisy can’t snare an appropriate suitor, she will marry the man he chooses - the ruthless and aloof Matthew Swift.

Daisy is horrified. A Bowman never admits defeat, and she decides to do whatever it takes to marry someone…anyone…other than Matthew. But she doesn’t count on Matthew’s unexpected charm…or the blazing sensuality that soon flares beyond both their control. And Daisy discovers that the man she has always hated just might turn out to be the man of her dreams.

But right at the moment of sweet surrender, a scandalous secret is uncovered…one that could destroy both Matthew and a love more passionate and irresistible than Daisy’s wildest fantasies.

Don't be shy! Listen to another Wallflowers romance.

    "Another Good One!"

This is an excellent series. I love how each story focuses on a particular "wallflower," but still gives you great insights into the lives of the other girls. Very entertaining and credit-worthy.

    "Short but Sweet"

Lisa Kleypas brings back all the Wallflowers and introduces us to yet another one in this short but sweet tale. Given the short length of the book, and the updates on our previous Wallflower's happy endings, she still did a fairly good job of developing the new characters in this book. It would have been better, obviously, if there had been more time to build on these characters, but all in all, it was another great read. Rosalyn Landor was as brilliant as ever, and her continued participation throughout the series certainly added to the feeling of "getting to know" the characters.

    "A beautiful finale"

This is my favorite romance series of all, so far. The Wallflowers are all so endearingly unique and the books are never predictable, they are always laugh-out-loud funny, and much to my distress, cry-out-loud as well. Once again the narration is excellent! What a truly talented/gifted combination, writer and narrator. Rita should take another look at the series, and discover how wonderful a romace series could be.

    "I Really Liked This Series"

I recommend it. The joining of these two main characters in marriage is something no one can imagine. If you've read the Wallflowers series, you'll know why.

Truly enjoyed this book and of course Rosalyn Landor is wonderful.

    "I liked the whole series..."

Daisy is the last remaining single wallflower. She is a romantic dreamer. Her father is tired of spending money on her season with no results (finding a husband). So he tells her that she shall marry his protege Mathew who is back in the States. And that is the last man she wants to marry...

If you liked the previous books, you'll enjoy this one too. A very well written story with very good narration. There is some suspense and intrigue that keeps you guessing what the scandal is until the very end of the story so that for me was a plus too. Definitely worth a credit.

Would you listen to Scandal in Spring again? Why?

Certainly, and I have. Good stories should always be revisited. It is an easy read or listen for me. I liked this book very much. It is the last of the Wallflower series and finishes it off very well. I liked Daisy Bowman very much from the other three books. Matthew Swift who turns out to be someone else, is a perfect fit for her.

What other book might you compare Scandal in Spring to and why?

    Don't want to compare

Have you listened to any of Rosalyn Landor’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have listened to many of her performances. She is very good and able to do many types of voices. I recommend her narration to anyone looking for a good listen.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

None other than that of pleasure from a good listen.

    Any additional comments?

    None

    "Very nice."
    Any additional comments?

This is the last of the romances of the wallflowers, and it is a very nice ending.

Having listened to all four, I think the first one is my favorite. I suppose I like the idea of a man having morals and character.

This installment was good. Much better than the third installment. The characters were likable and plausible. I was surprised with the man Daisy ended up with!

Anyway, the series was very good in the romantic genre.
