"Questionable classification"
I bought this book hoping for a nice Christmas story, even if it was to be one of those too sweet romances. I think maybe it should be placed under Erotica. The 28 year old virgin is made out to be totally stupid and the descriptive "deflowering" of her just doesn't get it for a "christmas" story. It just goes on and on about how innocent she is and descriptive sex. Throughly disappointed. Waste of money even if one wants to hear about the sex.
"Holly and Mistletoe"
Another amazing read from Ms. Mallery. The narrator wasn't as good as Therese Plummer, but she wasn't bad either.
"SO SORRY"
Lack of repeating Holly's sad stories about mother's illness, 15 year old boyfriend, etc.
Added more emphasis on the main characters - Jordan was ok but Holly, even though a 28 year old virgin should have had a little more sophistication
She was really flat; male voices were not very good
Always love a happy ending
Not a Susan Mallory winner
I enjoy many types of books and am always looking for new authors to read and listen too. I enjoy reading the reviews and adding my own from time to time.
"Fireman's rescue of cat brings unexpected ending"
Yes because it was very enjoyable to listen to and a fun, light romance. Not an overpoweringly sexy story but well done.
Mistletoe, the cat was a big part of the story and her reaction to her rescuer made life very difficult for him since she ended up living in his home. She seemed to like the rest of his family just fine but had problems with him. Made his romantic feelings for Holly more difficult since she managed to be where she was in the way a lot.
I think the scene where his family went around singing (off key) Christmas Carols. It was a funny scene.
I laughed a lot while listening to this story. It was very lighthearted and just plain fun.
"Sweet story"
A sweet story with a predictable plot. What better to read during the holiday period when our mind turns to good things. Although the plot was predictable and the reader knows what was going to happen, it was still enjoyable.
"Great as is all of Susan Mallery's books."
I have listened to 22 of Susan Mallery's books and have always found them very enjoyable. Will always seek out her books.
"Wasted my time"
Boring, please dont waste your credit on this!!! Couldnt finish it, grrrrrrrrrrrrrh!
"Adorable Story..."
Loved the story, sweet, fluffy but narrator often speaks so slowly you lose your place in the story.
Recommend it for a great holiday read.
"Disappointing!"
Susan Mallory is one of my favorite authors I love her books from the Buchanon family to the Titan sisters. I was hoping this would be a sweet Christmas story but it was annoying, reader was lacking emotion, and I guess the best word would just be disappointing.
