"Great Book, solid narration. Fantastic protagonist"
This was the book where Annas tale is made much clearer and the character becomes much stronger in her beliefs. It's. Great listen.
"REALLY ENJOYING THIS SERIES"
I really am. This book number 4 has an excellent blend of the supernatural and a good old-fashioned murder mystery thriller, along with more insight into some of the other characters like David and Chief Williams, as well as Anna's human family.
I really like Anna's character---she's strong (intentional pun, I'm sure) and willful which I find very refreshing in the vampire genre when it comes to most of the females. Usually they are victims or so often rely heavily on males' protection that it's almost a cliche. But here, Anna Strong's character is resilient and forceful. She's a definite take-charge kinda gal.
She has lots of angst, too---with her human family and boyfriends and a wonderfully sarcastic, humorous relationship with the dreaded Gloria.
I also enjoy the addition of werewolves and other supernatural goings-on, blended very nicely with the real world which helps make the story a much stronger reality for the reader.
On to the next book.
Love fantasy books, usually with a strong female character. I also enjoyed just about anything from J.D Robb I am a fan of mysteries as well. I also enjoy funny and quirky novels anything from Molly Harper is a winner in my book. Since listening to audio books is important to me while I travel I also follow certain narrators as well.
"Werewolve Twist"
I must say bringing the werewolf ex-wife was not something I expected, the story is ok, but starts to get confusing as the author tries to carry multiple pieces of the plot all at once overall Jeanne pulls it off but barely.
"Disappointing"
I loved the first 3 books but this one was not up to par. It was all over the place and hard to find the plot or the purpose. I also wish she would let Anna find someone. I don't believe a women needs a man but I was not haapy with the route she went with Max at all!! I am reluctant to listen to the next book.
"Legacy ... ??"
Not as good as previous books in series. Short for one thing... although that isn't necessarily a bad thing in this case as the story was bordering on boring...
