My husband, James. The house on the lake. My life. Our perfect life. And then Alex came to visit.
The first time I saw my husband's best friend, I didn't like him. Didn't like how James changed when he was around, didn't like how his penetrating eyes followed me everywhere.
But that didn't stop me from wanting him. And, surprisingly, James didn't seem to mind.
It was meant to be fun. Something the three of us shared for those hot summer weeks Alex stayed with us. Nobody was supposed to fall in or out of love. I didn't need another man, not even one who oozed sex like honey and knew all the secrets I didn't know, the secrets my husband hadn't shared. After all, we had a perfect life. And I loved my husband.
But I wasn't the only one.

"I'M SHOCKED!"
Angie from Jamestown, TN, USA
Ya know, I really liked this book! I know, it suprised me too! I've never come across an erotic book that I could get into, like the characters, or that I didn't find cheezy.
So I'm giving this book 5 stars! Not 5 stars because it's an excellent book, but 5 stars because it's the best erotic book that I've listened to. It's Megan Hart's best work, in my opinion. I didn't find the storyline ridiculous, and ended up being really attached to the characters. Alex won my heart! I just wish that the ending was different, but I won't give away any spoilers. (wink, wink, I love Alex)
If you're looking for an erotica to listen to, I definitely recommend "Tempted"!!!!
"Erotica"
This is erotica in its top form. If you are not looking for steamy sex or the F word offends this is not for you. The author has brought some of the possible pains of a threesome relationship into the story giving the reader something more than sex to ponder.
The story is definately removed from real life but if you were living this life you probably would not be reading very often.
The extended family dramas are not persued at length however they are not really the central figures to the story and they are tied up loosly without digression from the story line.
I definately look forward to more books by this author.
"LOVED IT!"
It was funny and witty. It made me laugh out loud and cry. I loved the references to the 80's in it and the people in it seemed real and flawed. It was refreshing to listen to a book that didn't have the same sentence repeated 10 different ways to drive the point home.
The sex was hot and very yummy... It really makes you wonder.. what if... I wish I could find more books like this w/ a little bit more slash involved in them. Quite yummy. Well worth the money if you are open minded to this kind of thing. I hope she writes more like this.
"Intelligent Story Line"
This book was exactly what I was looking for, a well developed story, compelling characters, realistic issues and erotic sex scenes. I really enjoyed how the author explored the realistic issues the main character faced after participating in a sexual relationship with her husband and his best friend. The story was well written and very believable. At times, the language was a bit base and probably unnecessary; however, I didn't feel it took anything away from the story.
"Fantastic"
It took me just a short while to grow accustomed to the narrator, as it always does, but once I got a feel for the speaker this book was undeniably sexy. I started it one day trying to spice up a dull treadmill session and the 90 minutes I listened to it had me completely enraptured. I finished listening to it within three days, because every time I laid down to go to sleep or stripped down to step in the shower I couldn't stop thinking about Anne, James and Alex. The writing is fluid, the speaker is skilled in her representations of the characters and the erotic scenes flow well. I highly recommend this audio book.
"surprisingly well done"
A great story that outlines the reality of what could happen when two becomes three. A couple enjoys a summer fling by inviting his best friend and summer house guest into a threesome, but simple is not what you get. Don't buy this book thinking it's a porn-type read. There are some great sensual moments, but the story is much more than just bedroom scenes. It explores the relationship of these three, both past and present, and doesn't try to paint a rosy story that implies threesomes are all fun and games with no risks to those involved. I really enjoyed it.
"Story of a spoilt self centered sad woman"
I have listen/read all of Megan Hart books, and some of the dark undercurrents can be hard to get through, this is true, but this story had me yelling at the main character. She is nothing but a sad miserable, and make everyone else miserable self centered bitch. In her little mind she is the only one who is ever in the right or has sacraficed. I enjoyed the story of Alex and James, and poor James did everything for his pathetic wife and she was never ever satisfied. I say James, dump her sorry ass. The story is slow in many parts, I am glad that the story of Alex is enough to redeam this author for me.
"UNLIKELY FAN"
I think I was originally expecting a different type of story. I am the type of person who is strongly against marital affairs & can become very judgmental about the situation. This book allowed me to understand a different way of loving. I never see myself in a situation like this but this book was thought provoking in a powerful way. This is the first book I have ever heard from this author and I am hooked, she has a skill for telling a story both erotic and a little dirty but soft and sensitive at the same time. Zoey Winslow is the narrator for this story and also does a good job, a lot of other narrators can annoy with changing of the characters voices but this one is subtle so as not to take away from the story. This book comes highly recommended.
I haven't "read" a book since 1998, just not interested....after the 50 Shades Trilogy, I have become an audio book addict! I am a very tough critic.
"Don't Bother...."
The story looked intriguing based on the reviews and editorial about the book, however, it was so slow! So much about what was going on in her head and not enough story if you ask me.
"Too drawn out."
No. It was overall a waste of time. Too much detail.
Sorry but no.
Yes. She was great at adjusting her voice for different characters.
No.
Wish i could get a refund.
