In the fourth book of the Aisling Grey series, Aisling is finally about to marry Drake Vireo - wyvern of the green dragons. But when Drake goes missing on their wedding day, Aisling has to track him down, no matter how many dragons, demons, and angry mages get in her way.

"new twist on supernatural books"
I love supernatural books and this one is a nice break from just vampires and werewolves. The whole dragon storyline is fantastic and I'm hooked now!
There is nothing better than a good book!
"More fun/crazy antics from Aisling and Jim!"
I have been a faithful Katie Macalister fan from day 1.... Before I joined Audible-I READ every series she has out and in doing so, my mind had created it's own opinion of all the character's voices, traits, etc... So, when I purchased and began listening to the Audible versions- narrated by Barbara Rosenblat, I admit I was a bit worried it wouldn't do them justice.... Her voice is very distinct- BUT... Oh, how I was SOOOO wrong!!!! Barbara's unique vocal ranges and absolutely superb variations on the characters accents BLEW ME AWAY!!! There really is no other narrator who could pull it off so flawlessly! Bravo Katie, and BRAVO Barbara!!!!
"I love Katie MacAlister!"
I would definitely recommend this audiobook, it is funny, sexy and entertaining.
Ashling gets into more trouble in a few days than most characters get into during an entire book. How she gets out of these life threatening situations is always a surprise.
In this book her uncle comes to be at her wedding and he is not surprised at all about demons, dragons, portals, you name it and he just accepts it. I thought that he had a hidden history of also being a Guardian, but nothing was ever mentioned in this book about it.
I love Jim, he is my favorite.
I can't wait for the next book!
"Katie MacAlister is on my favorite authors list"
This story filled with action, excitement, love, romance, humor has it all.
I cannot think of a better narrator for this series than the fabulous Barbara Rosenblat. Her various voices are the perfect match for all of Katie MacAlister's written words. I love all of the characters but Jim brings just the right humor to the story and the voice that Rosenblat uses for him is just perfect. I love Jim and his humor, voice and timing.
All of the characters are wonderful. Aisling with her daring, courage, and confidence, Drake (who is yummy) with his strength, protectiveness, and power, are wonderful and very alive.
I was especially relieved that MacAlister continues the story line. I was so worried it was going to end.
"fast and funny"
weddings dragons uncle
Aisling's uncle Damian was the calm cool and collected man even when everything was falling down around his niece.
When Aisling was free to be Drake's mate again.
When Aisling and Drake finally got to say I do.
I enjoyed the whole serious barely waiting to get my credits to get the next part.
favorite authors in no particular order are: Charlaine Harris, Darynda Jones, Gena Showalter, Kim Harrison, Karen Chance,Karen Marie Moning,Laurell k Hamilton (books 1-10),Stacia Kane, Katie Macalister,Patricia Briggs Jeaniene Frost, Ilona Andrews and Nicole Peeler
"laugh out loud"
I love this series! I laughed out loud from book 1 through this one. The narrator is the BEST! I thought there was a different person reading for the different characters! She does accents better than any other reader i've heard! If you like light hearted entertainment and a sexy lead man you will like this series.
"not my favorite"
Holy Smoke is the 4th and final Aisling Grey book. This has been a pretty good series from Katie MacAlister and I will be reading more of her books in the future. I will have to say this was my least favorite book of the series and I’m not really sure why. It might be that I listened to the last three back to back and they might have just gotten old. I just do not feel this book had the same pizazz as the first three. It is still a good end to the series just not my favorite.
"laugh out loud funny"
This is a chuckle to a laugh out loud series. In a serious world this is just what the doctor ordered to tickle your funny bone if you like this genre. I am reading all the books in sequence. It works better for me that way.
