"Not that good..."
The idea for this book could have been developed better i think. i like the idea of a misused biological discovery. A lot of the cool biological terror stuff was not explored and overshadowed by the shallow plot of a personal account of the main character. Most of the characters were ones you care about while reading, but they should have discovered more in depth evil plots and stuff. Their adventure should have taken them overseas or something...they really needed to discover a dark secret...
I think the narration would have better fit the book if it had been a male voice.
Not really worth the money.
"like it but..."
the story is quite captivating; i am not finished yet but I can't wait to turn it on every time i drive to work. I do not think I will order again from this narrator though... her voice and accents are distracting. Amusing, but distracting.

"roseanne sings the national anthem"
i shouldn't review this book as i haven't been able to get past the first hour. the narrator is so oddly distracting that i actually replayed the opening five minutes three times to try to figure out what she was saying...if this sounds harsh, listen long enough to hear her SING the national anthem...in a nazi accent. excruciating enough that i bought a new book to listen to...
"narrator is awful"
It's funny how book to book the narrator can and does make a difference. I just listened to a lengthly book narrated by Will Patton for James Lee Burke, and it was most enjoyable. The narrator on this book is most boring, and only because I listen to it while working out will I continue with it, it is that big a struggle to listen to her narration.I don't think I would buy another book that is narrated by Ms Dawes.
"Oh it is hard to listen to"
Absolutely agree with you about the national anthem - oh dear (that isn't what I really want to say!!). I came back on here to see if I had possibly downloaded the wrong book. She is very hard to listen to. But I did pay $14-something for this book since the first one I downloaded is worse. Sad. I will finish it I suppose!!!
