It has to be magical, Joanne figures. But what's up with the crazy dreams that hit her every time she closes her eyes? Are they being sent by Coyote, her still-missing spirit guide? The messages just aren't clear.
Somehow Joanne has to wake up her sleeping friends while protecting those still awake, figure out her inner-spirit dream life and, yeah, come to terms with those other dreams she's having about her boss. Wouldn't it be easier to just save the world?

"One of my favorites!"
I don't usually write reviews but when I saw some of the negative reviews I had to step up! I LOVED this audiobook! I wonder if some of the listeners who wrote negatives are just new to the series? This is definitely a series that must start with Urban Shaman or else you will be lost for sure. I love how much Joanne has grown since the last book. I also love how the relationship between Joanne and her boss has developed. I usually just listen to audiobooks in my car and read print books at home but with this one I popped my ipod out of the car put on some headphones and listened for hours (an audio version of a book you just can't put down)....I have even taken to haunting the author's web site hoping there will be a change in the 2009 publication date for the next book. Unlike an earlier review I am NOT happy a new series is coming out soon because that means she is not working on The Walker Papers series! :)
"Thoroughly Enjoyable"
Coyote Dreams is an exciting addition to the Walker Papers series. Many times I was so focused on listening to the story that I would find myself standing in one spot, staring at nothing – when I finally blinked, my eyes would water. The next book isn't expected out until 2009, but I know I will snatch it up as soon as it comes out.
Disciple of the written word and Audible fanatic. I am an Urban and Epic Fantasy Fan. I also enjoy some Paranormal Romance.
"I can't stop listening."
This book doesn't disappoint. Jo wakes up to a surprise in her bed and what a surprise it is. I laughed so hard during most of this book I had to pause it and even playback parts so I could laugh again. I will be rereading this one.
Jo learns what stumbling blindly and ignoring warnings can bring about. Things heat up on several levels in this book. She has to really step back and finally admit that she is screwing up royally. The losses may be piling up but the self knowledge she gains may balance it out in the end.

"Woman Shaman, Auto Mechanic and Street Beat Cop"
Good luck finding a book like this series that has these elements that are amazingly congruent, well read, and totally unique!!! I'm in love with Gary the cab driver... such an usual sidekick! And for the 'older' reader, a hero to get excited about!
"Wonderful Book!"
I am surprised by some of the reviews. They have right to their opinion, but wonder if people started with this book. I imagine story can be understood, but you don't get SO MUCH MORE from book if you read all of series. The story was very good. The characters seemed so real and grew from book one to book three. I liked series so much, that I plan to read other stories by CE Murphy.
"Good, but don't read it first."
This was a good book, but you really need to have read the first two to understand the events and character growth.
"Waste of my time"
I love magic, mystery and everything in between. I did not like this book. Many chapters into already and I can't stop my mind from drifting away! I have restarted it 3 times and it just will not hold my interest. The characters seem shallow and I am not interested in what is happening to them! The writer spends way to much time describing the way a person looks etc..causing the characters to interact on a superficial level. I can't finish this book and I hate that. Money wasted.
"blah blah blah"
I truely believe in the narrator Gabra Zachman, she always pulls a story off, but due to lack of the author to pull the point together made this book babble to bordom. The author tried so hard to explain the main character that the story line lack focus and a point of view. There is no action plots, Ok I just got tried of hearing about the main chactor child hood just popping up when the action started,I did not care to hear any more about it and was ready to get the action. Which didnt come even at the end. I would suggest dont waste your time or money on this one.
