Publisher's Summary

As commander of the nation's most elite FBI counterterrorism unit, agent Max Bhagat leads by hard-driving example: pushing himself to the limit and beyond, taking no excuses, and putting absolutely nothing ahead of his work.

That includes his deep feelings for Gina Vitagliano, the woman who won his admiration and his heart with her courage under fire. But when the shocking news reaches him that Gina has been killed in a terrorist bombing, nothing can keep Max from making a full investigation - and retribution - his top priority.

At the scene of the attack, however, Max gets an even bigger shock. Gina is still very much alive - but facing a fate even worse than death. Along with Molly Anderson, a fellow overseas relief worker, Gina has fallen into the hands of a killer who is bent on using both women to bait a deadly trap. His quarry? Grady Morant, a.k.a "Jones", a notorious ex-Special Forces operative turned smuggler who made some very deadly enemies in the jungles of Southeast Asia...and has been running ever since. But with Molly's life on the line, Jones is willing to forfeit his own to save the woman he loves.

Together with Max's top agent, Jules Cassidy, as their only backup, the unlikely allies plunge into a global hot zone of violence and corruption to make a deal with the devil. Not even Jones knows which ghosts from his past want him dead.

But there's one thing he's sure of - there's very little his bloodthirsty enemies aren't willing to do.

What the Critics Say

"With its realistically complex and conflicted characters, intense sexual tension, and edgy humor, this is Brockmann at her best." (Booklist)

Another enjoyable book in the series. I am sick of Jules saying sweetie but over all the characters are fun and well devloped. The plot is also good. Good reader.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I recommend this to anyone who loves military/action romance novels. It's well written, lots of plot twists and interesting characters from her other books pop up. Can't wait to get to the next book!

"Troubleshooter Series is an Excellent Mix of......"
If you could sum up Breaking Point in three words, what would they be?

    Action, romance, suspense

What did you like best about this story?

The tenacity of Max to find Gina

What about Patrick Lawlor and Melanie Ewbank ’s performance did you like?

I REALLY love these two. The decision to have both male and female performers adds a terrific dynamic to the book.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

    Nope

    Any additional comments?

A lot of strong language, great mix -in my opinion- of specially trained, big, beefy men saving their women in an action packed thriller. I'm sure that the author used liberties with her military routines, terms.

I love these books. The story line keeps you guessing as to what will happen next. And the narrators are 2 of my favorites.

    "One of the best"
If you could sum up Breaking Point in three words, what would they be?

I am reading Suzanne's Series straight thru and began with the Tall Dark and Dangerous books. I have enjoyed each book and can truly see how her writing style has changed. I enjoyed the storyline of this book completely. It's so nice to find fullfillment for the characters we have grown to know and admire!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Breaking Point?

When Max finally has to acknowledge he doesn't want to live without Gina.

Which character – as performed by Patrick Lawlor and Melanie Ewbank – was your favorite?

Jules.....always Jules......Love him and love the performance by Patrick!

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Jules won't let Max off the hook in Germany. He makes Max accept his friendship.
