James Bond is not afraid of gangsters, but then he hasn't really met any until now. With advice from his American friend, Felix Leiter, Bond tracks a diamond smuggling ring from Africa through London to the United States. He is aided by the gorgeous, hard-boiled Tiffany Case, whom he uses to infiltrate the gang. However, the hunter becomes the prey, and Bond finds that he must depend upon Tiffany for his very survival.

"The remarkable thing about this book is that it is written by an Englishman. The scene is almost entirely American and it rings true to an American. I am unaware of any other writer who has accomplished this." (Raymond Chandler)
"Diamonds Are Forever darts from location to location at a rapid pace. It is full of action and is extremely exciting; but the true highlights of the novel are Bond's relationships with Tiffany Case and Felix Leiter. Fleming's characterizations keep improving in this, his fourth book." (Raymond Benson, author of High Time to Kill)
"Impeccable"
The action-oriented espionage classics by Ian Fleming are always an enjoyable read, or in this case, listen. The audio is great, and the narrator's voice and accent create an enthralling, believable production of the literature.
"Bond is Forever"
Every year millions of pounds worth of diamonds are being smuggled out of the African diamond mines. M has decided that James Bond must stop this leak. To that end James goes undercover as a diamond smuggler to America. This adventure will lead Bond across the United States, back to England, and finally to Africa. Along the way he will team up again with his old friend Felix Leiter. Together they will track the criminals to a racing track in New England, across the US to Las Vegas and into the desert. Bond will have to escape from several deadly traps in order to survive this mission. When it is all over he will have a new respect for the Mafia. It is a fun spy caper full of gangsters, smuggles, and an alluring woman. What more could you ask for in a James Bond novel?
"Classic Ian Fleming!"
I love the story, I love the characters. It is a classic I love going back to again and again

"Excellent performance of a so-so Bond"
If you are like me, you have to listen to the entire series regardless of how good or bad the novel. This is probably the least impressive of the series, with cardboard cut-out villains.
Considering I've read them all, yes.
SV does an amazing job with all of them.
Not particularly, but it was a good listen regardless.

This is a very good audio book told my a master storyteller. Would have been 5 stars but for a few editing blunders; (repeated paragraphs)
