A high-profile politician's daughter is killed mid-flight on her way to Washington, DC, and the only clue is a silver cross that has been left in her side. Smoky and her team of agents begin a chase that leads them across the country and into the twisted mind of one of the most prolific serial killers ever seen.
This time he's put his crimes on display for everyone to see - he's asking to be caught, but only by someone clever enough to catch all of his clues. And for Smoky, the clock is ticking.

"Rubbish"
Darker Side should stay in the dark... I couldn't finish it. I loved his books "Abandoned" and "Shadow Man", but this was just bad bad bad. Now, maybe the second half of the book makes up for the first half... I'll never know, because I stopped reading and I just don't care. Trust me, read something else. A bunch of babbling and filth. It's like he was drunk or something when he wrote it. yuk yuk yuk!! I don't know, could it be the unabridged version is just filled with rubbish? Anyhow, it's just not good.
