When it comes to sizzling urban drama, Sasha Campbell is at the very top of the game. In Scandals, Monica Houston is a newly divorced mom who makes ends meet as an exotic dancer at Scandalous, the hottest club around. But if the ex finds out, she runs the risk of losing her kids.
Meanwhile, sexy dancer Robin Wright thinks she might be in over her head when her sister is sent to jail and her nephew is thrust into her care. Unprepared for this new role, Robin finds herself falling for the kid’s “big brother”, even as she tries to prove her sister’s innocence.

LIFE just happens that way sometimes!
"Scandals had me at the edge of my seat"
This book was amazing and had me at the edge of my seat. I love how the author brought these characters to life with words and the Narrators were the perfect match for this book. I have read other books by Sasha Cambell and really like all of them she is a brilliant author. Her characters are confident and deal with real life drama/situations that keep people engrossed in her writing and wanting to find out what's going to happen next. What I liked most is that each characters conflicts played a role in the way that they lived their lives. My favorite character was Monica because I feel as if she was most like me. I can totally relate to the part of the book where her true weekend occupation was found out by her love interest. In my case it was my older brother and his friends so I knew how she felt because I had once been in her shoes. I would recommend this book to anyone who is openminded and looking for something interesting to listen to. Sometimes as people grow they have to find their own way to their dreams, and in order to do that they have to take a journey and stumble onto paths along the way that weren't on the map. I feel that this book has great life lessons and each character made decisions the best way that they knew how to. Those stumbling blocks and decisions are what make this book a great read.
"This will keep your attention until the end."
I felt sorry for the best friend but then she turned out to be crazy.
Great ending. I loved how everything came together in the end. She did some good writing.
"kept my attention"
I liked that it touches on a different culture of people and it was realistic and didn't over exaggerate and offset stereotypical topics with regular people of the same culture, what I didn't like is the lack of description of things such as food and surrounding to paint a better picture
I would try another book just because it is different than what I usually listen to
I like the tag team narration
I would enjoy a follow up book, I actually prefer sequals and book series
My favorite author is Jr ward and Molly harper, they are very much more discriptive but honestly not realistic as this book and this book hits closer to home as a black man, so I would love to see more of this author
"Scandels was Superb!"
Scandels was a superb read. Robin held her own and despite the drama she always resisted, when it came her way--she made sure to handle it like a Lady! Her Treasure persona was professional and her compassionate spirit helped the ladies when they needed it. Monica did what she had to do as a mother who had to feed her children and I can respect her for that. She was Monica when she needed to be and Deja when it was appropriate . I was glad to use the credit to purchase this book because it showed women with real life situations and the spirit they used to overcome their problems. Check it out!
"Action Packed"
A Definate Must Read and Listen, Listening you can feel the characters more especially with an awesome narrator.....
I liked how what people may view as low class and negative can turn into something positive how she didnt make stripping her focal point in life...
My favorite scene...... THE HOT TUB LMBO
Yep
Most exciting nail biting part was when the truth came out and he was still free oooooooh
"It's gonna do what it's gonna do"
I listened to this book while I was visiting Saipan. I must say that my trips around the island went very quickly while listening, so I was entertained, but....thats where my compliments stop.
In my opinion, this is a popcorn book.....Lots of fluff but not much substance. I've known a couple of strippers in a past life, and while Scandals is entertaining, it doesn't hold up when compared to reality. I found both characters unrealistic in this regard. Despite other reviews, I found the plot twists predictable. If nothing else the book is an interesting and entertaining read that kept my attention throughout the book. The performance was above par and very professional!
"Very good book"
I haven't read the print version.
When one of the girls was found dead and we found out who it was. That was kind of sad.
Yes. Both narrators did a good job. They were enthusiastic and acted out their parts well. The only thing is the person who narrated as Robin, her voice didn't go with what the character was supposed to look like.
Don't judge someone by their secrets
Good book with a slight, yet unpredictable twist at the end.
