Publisher's Summary

A Marla Mason novel! She's an ass-kicking sorcerer who doesn't wear a leather catsuit, doesn't suffer from low self-esteem, doesn't wallow in angst, and is almost always absolutely certain she's right... even when she's dead wrong. What about Broken Mirrors? It's got monsters. It's got sarcasm. It's got death, betrayal, ancient gods, dark doppelgangers, mirror worlds, wisecracks, artifacts, oracles, and magical daggers. Oh... and a cloak.

Spellbound? Listen to all of our Marla Mason titles.

"OMG! The best series EVER is back!"

I'm a HUGE T. A. Pratt fan and was delighted just to be able to read this novel as an e-book! Now it's on Audible (and has the amazing Jessica Almasy reading it), and I'm over the moon! If you haven't tried the Marla Mason series and you love fantasy, you'll love this series. It fast, funny and smart. The dialogue is laugh-out-loud funny, and the originality of the world T.A. created never fails to surprise. How awesome is that! (Just remember to start with book 1 -- they're all great!)

    "Too silly for me"
Would you try another book from T. A. Pratt and/or Jessica Almasy?

    NO!

What was most disappointing about T. A. Pratt’s story?

    The characters were cartoonlike

Would you be willing to try another one of Jessica Almasy’s performances?

Yes. Her performance seemed overacted, but the story lent itself to that.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

I didn't finish it and that is rare for me.

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

This book would be ok for people who have been following the series, I guess. I couldn't figure out what was happening or who the characters were.

What was most disappointing about T. A. Pratt’s story?

Lack of character development and the scenes changes were too abrupt.

What didn’t you like about Jessica Almasy’s performance?

The cadence of her voice. It would have this pause at the end of each sentence and then it would dip. I found it very irritating.

    Any additional comments?

I couldn't finish the book. I had to delete it off my iPod. I'm grateful that it was on sale and I didn't pay full price.

"Why the irrational anger at Rondeau???"

I am only part way through this book but I am finding the latest annoying at best. Marla's Character seems to regress with each new book rather then grow. She comes across like a spoiled petulant child. I expected better. I enjoyed Jessica Almasy's narration of the first books but she seems to have changed her style in this book too and I am unclear as to why. For me a dissapointment so far hopefully the story improves.
