Denene Millner and Nick Chiles are authors of the Essence best-seller Love Don’t Live Here Anymore. In Love and War is the tale of fiery college administrator, Zaria Chance, and strong-willed teacher and basketball coach, Kenneth Roman. The two may seem to be opposites, but they can’t ignore an attraction as fierce as theirs. With a lively narration by Dion Graham and Caroline Clay, this novel will enthrall listeners with its honesty, sensuality, and playfulness.

"Started off good but......"
I've been a fan of Millner and Chiles before they started writing novels. I've always enjoyed the he/she style of their writing. I was prepared to be throroughly entertained with this book. And I was for about half of the book. The story is basic and predictable but Denene and Nick have a way of making the predictable, funny and engaging.
I was enjoying the book when boom! It was over! I felt slighted. Sometimes when you watch movies, you expect for things not to always be resolved, so you go and read the book. Well I felt like this book was the movie. I was left hanging. I started searching for part two (because I was listening to the audio book) but I was already on part two. I then thought, there has to be another book but could not find one.
This book leaves a lot of loose ends. No prologue, nothing. I was dissappointed. I really hope that the authors think about doing a follow up to continue and complete the story. It's a book, it can be as long as you need it to be, not a movie.
"More War"
Yes. This book was interesting enough to make me want to try another.
It started off well, but then it was too slow.
