"Great book about Virgin and the Branson"
This was a fun book to listen to. As an entrepreneur dealing with the constants ups and downs of business - it is temping just to say "screw it" and through in the towel. The listener learns about the ups and downs of Virgin, how it got started and its constant struggle with cash flow. You hear about Virgin's success and its failures. In its early years Virgin often took 2 steps forward and then one step back to grow. I can relate.
Branson also does a great job at revealing enough about his life and character to make the whole book work.
Love the book and would recommend it to any entrepreneur trying to grow a business.
"Humorous, Educating and Enjoyable"
I will keep this short and brief.
Losing My Virginity is a great book and is a good way to be entertained for a couple hours. Branson is quite ambitious and this book shows how he lived his life the way he wanted to and one of these outcomes was an incredible company. His stories are both educating and humorous. I would highly recommend this book to anyone looking to learn the type of life Richard Branson lived.
"Amazing book. Amazing Narrator."
Richard was always my inspiration. I started a business a few months ago and decided to read/listen (finally) his book. I love it.
Amazing stories from his childhood, first business, becoming a businessman, starting a Virgin group. And what is more important more advices from Richard. How to build, how to scale, how to have fun.
What is THE most important. Richard reads this book. He smiles when reads about funny moments, he's sad when he read about sad moments (like story about Iraq).
Short, great read, much value for your entrepreneurs.
"Great book read by the great man"
I grew up admiring Richard Branson and reading this makes me understand his vitality and drive. I really enjoyed listening to him read the book in particular as you could tell at points he was getting emotional. Now I just need to find another book just as good!
"Entertaining, Insightful, and Real"
I listened to this book from start to finish in an evening. I've never done that before, Branson's book was just so captivating, authentic, and inspiring - I just had to finish it. Likely the best business book I've heard or read.
"Well, not much surprise."
It is written nicely, however if you already know the guy and his past you won't find much surprise. On the other hand, if you would like to know how he became who he is. This is the book for you.
