Captivated
His interest in her was purely professional...or so he told himself. Nash Kirkland had sought out Morgana Donovan, self-proclaimed witch, to help him research his latest screenplay. The hardheaded skeptic didn't believe for a minute she was what she professed to be, but Nash somehow found himself falling under her bewitching spell. Nash had never trusted his feelings. How could he be sure the irresistible passion he felt was real and not just some conjurer's trick?
Entranced
Obviously Sebastian Donovan was a fraud, but fiercely protective Mary Ellen Sutherland was desperate to find a missing baby and had run out of leads. So, reluctantly, the skeptical private investigator agreed to enlist Sebastian's help. Soon she had to admit - grudgingly - that this man had some pretty remarkable gifts. Especially his extraordinary ability to penetrate her tough facade and awaken her heart.

"Please get the sequel here at Audible!"
I love the 4 books in this series - this one is the first two, the next book is entitled Charmed & Enchanted and is the story of the two other cousins. Morgana and Sebastian find their loves in this volume - I really want the companion volume too! Love Nora Roberts!
"We need to listen to the sequel..."
PLEASE provide this sequel...Charmed and Enchanted!!! You're just teasing us by only releasing the first two books to the series of four!
"CAPTIVATED & ENTRANCED"
GREAT BOOK WITH CAPTIVATING CHARACTERS! WISH FOR A SEQUAL TO THIS ONE.
I'm loving audio books more each day-being able to walk the dog, do the dishes or keep an eye on grandkids in the pool-all while listening to a book is great. My favorite genres are mystery/romance, some paranormal and lots of Science Fiction.
"It isn't literature/will appeal to Roberts fans."
I don't read Roberts much anymore-she knows her audience and basically writes the same book over and over. I sometimes count the number of times she uses "He fisted his hand in her long (blazing red/midnight ebony/flowing chocolate) hair." In Captivated, it was 4 times.
This is an old Donnovan series book, dug out, apparently, for this Audible special to attract Roberts many fans. It contains 2 of 4 short novels in the series. The last 2 are not available on audible though her loving audience seems to be begging for it.
The reader is nice to listen to, does a variety of voices and accents well and her voice was pleasant. I see she reads quite a few Roberts books. I liked her, but between her soothing voice and the sorry old plot I was put to sleep - twice.
If you are looking for an inexpensive and low key book for an airplane listen or general relaxing, I'd say the price (right now) is worth it. I bought it because I'd never listened to a Roberts book on audio...don't think I'll do it again.
"a charming and uplifting story"
I enjoyed this book. Very light and not deep, but charming and enjoyable. A feel good type of story.
"Witches in love"
Just finished listening to the first book. It was a OK light romance, not one of NR's best but still fun. I don't think the main character needed to be a witch for this story, it wasn't really used effectively. I am, however, listening to the 2nd book and liking it a lot better, so far.
Finished Entranced and found I liked Sebastian's story better! I like the way their relationship developed as they investigated the child abduction ring.
To tell the truth the most intersting people were the main character's unique parents. Made me want to read about thier story!
"Typical Nora Roberts"
This is actually two stories in one. Both stories are good altho I enjoyed the second one more. The reader was also much better narrating the second story. The first one was read with a bit too much drama, each word emphasized a bit too much. I really enjoy Nora Roberts books and this one, over all, was another good one.
"Captivated & Entranced"
Looking forward to the sequel with the 3rd cousin??

"8 Hours of Fun!"
I loved how the story really led you through the lives of the character. The author did a fabulous job unveiling details at the perfect pace about each character and left you wanting nothing.
I loved that the psychic is trying to help find a child and the detective thinks he's full of it. Great circle for a story to unfold. This is a great way to learn about the other "witch" character from the series.
Dunovan is great. He is patient and mysterious. Can't understand why he likes Mel so early on but he is funny, creative and brilliant. You'll love him.
He lets Mel the female detective take the lead...but only when he wants her to which is entertaining.
Her reading was perfect. Voice is a little lighter than other voice over artists, but she was conversational. She tends to end her sentences a bit whinier than I prefer but you can listen to her and she does a great job doing several different voices.
I took breaks. It wasn't that addictive but yes good.
Retired high school English teacher. I liked and worked with the at-risk student. Interested in about everything, but I love a good story.
"If you can't say anything good..."
I was appalled with this book. Ordinarily, in the very least, I enjoy Ms. Roberts' characters and the way they approach what are, definitely, mundane romance situations. There was none of that charm in this book. Her characters are lifeless. This is an excellent idea of how not to write a romance novel.
I wish I hadn't wasted the money because I didn't listen to the whole thing. That's an unusual situation for me because I'm relatively accepting.
