Your Blues Ain't Like Mine

Not much more to say than the title.

But the sound quality for the book almost makes it impossible to follow. if you turn up the volume the background noise/other people talking is unbearable. Turn the volume down and you can barely hear her voice. Now I might sound a little dramatic, but as far I remember it was the worst audio books iv'e listened to. And thats saying something cause I hate reading school assigned books, so I go the lazy way and listen. Anyway, if I had a choice to do it again, I wouldn't. But if you're like me and absolutely hate reading force read books. I'd pay the extra money and get a CD, most of the time those are good quality. Anytime you download a Audio file from the internet you take a risk for the quality.

Audible, is not necessarily responsible for the poor sound quality of the book, so i'm not berating Audible.com, (as a matter of fact everything went very smoothly with the transaction and so forth), that would be like saying Wal-Mart is a bad grocery store because you didn't like the taste of one of their products.

Now the book its self is amazing. I just swallowed the pain of reading, and read the book, very great book. At times I couldn't put it down.

This book is a classic, i read it when it was first released. So when I saw that it was Audio I thought great! But I was really disappointed with this audio version. The sound quality was terrible, It left out big portions of the story. If you ever get a chance to read it you will really enjoy it.

What an amazing telling of a depiction in our country's history. The writer makes the story come alive by changing words on a page to words that dance in your head as you read/hear the story. This writer is extremely talented and I am happy that I accidentally happened upon this marvelous piece of work.

I wish the quality of the audio was better. I have read the book and the story is amazing.

This sounds like it was digitized using a pen-sized mp3 recorder in a 1978 Oldsmobile from an 8track while travelling through a wind tunnel and someone was also playing Outburst in the backseat. How can Audible let this amazing, classic story (far superior to "The Help") suffer like this? Make a new Audible Production. Talk to the publisher about masters. Buy the CD edition and rip it. Cause this version is complete and utter poop.
