"Fine escapist fare, this neatly mixes the everyday with the otherworldly." (Booklist)
"In the current crop of supernatural romances, this one stands out. Silky narration...delicious escapism." (Kirkus Reviews)
"Good book for young teens"
It's a cute story, definitely for a young audience.
"Very Nice"
Not what I expected at first, but when it finally got into the, I really loved it...
"Twilight...with fairies"
Not sure what to say here. It reads like a lighter take on Twilight. I did not like that book, so I do not enjoy this one. There is some potential with the story, but it definitely was written for the tween set. Apparently Miley Cyrus is tapped to play the lead character in the movie version of this novel. If you like Hannah Montana I am sure you will like this.
"If you like Twilight, you will like this series"
I think the narrator did a fantastic job bringing the characters to life! I have listened to this more than once and really hear each person
I love Tamani! How can you not with that great accent and passion?
Each character is so distinct!
I think the first time Laurel meets Tamani. To find out what she is and realize her connection to him.
If you like Twilight, you will like Wings. Give it a chance and you will be hooked. It is a different supernatural, but just as fun with a great love triangle.
EOD wife and loving mother!!!
"Different, but cute"
I'd say so. It was a little corny, but still worth reading.
I still don't have a good image of what her flower looks like.

"Charming"
I stopped when I had 1/2 hour left to run to the computer to see if this was a series. I enjoyed it so much I do not want the story to end. I want the rest of the series downloaded before I finish this one. I hope the rest of the series is as enjoyable as this one. I found it believable the teenage main character is afraid of what was happening to her (tumor? cancer?) then not wanting to accept her new reality until finally having scientific proof that she is not human explained to her by her new friend. Her reasoning for not going to her parents and later the police are also very believable. I found the frustration by the main character in not being able to find out useful information on the internet interesting as I totally relate. I liked the main characters immediately (very important to me). I am 58 - not a teen myself, but I found I really related to her being thrown into a new environment as a new kid in school. Excellent narrator. Kathy
I like happy endings and realism that is realistic rather than gritty.
"Excellent concept; excellent execution."
Brilliant mixture of science and magic. The book is also a smooth mixture of genres. It starts as a new-kid-in-town teen high school story (AKA romance), but the mystery and danger slowly ramp up into a good-vs.-evil action adventure. If the book hadn't included the usual boring love triangle, I'd have given it 5 stars. Great story all around.
