"Unusually clever." (Dean Koontz)
"A thinking person's horror." (Los Angeles Times)
"Frightening." (Stephen King)
"The digital conversion needs to be redone"
There are some good stories in this collection, but the Audible version needs to be redone. There are some sentences that get repeated, and one of the stories is cut off before it's finished.
"I really wanted this to rock"
I really wanted this audiobook to rock. Bentley Little is my favorite horror writer and his full novels are some of my favorite books. This collection of short stories however, I wasn't pleased with. The stories themselves were fine enough but the narration was awful. Choppy and oddly paused with a sense that everything had been chopped off at the end of each chapter/story. Just really got on my nerves and completely kept me out of the mood of the book. Disappointing.
"Terrible."
I've read Stephen King is the literary equivalent of a Big Mac and fries. I don't agree, but if so, this is the puddle of p*ss under the urinal. Off-putting, and completely forgettable. Only 5 hours, for 5 dollars, and I'm still kinda pissed. A sexual deviant calling himself a professional writer. Volume 2??? really??? haha.
