"An action packed Curt Austin book"
I have found that most of the Austin books are a slower read than the Oregon Files and some other of CC's books. Don't get me wrong, I love them all and Clive Cussler is one of my very favorite authors. I think this is the most action packed Curt Austin book he has written. It is definitely worth a credit :) Scott Brick does his usual excellent job as narrator.You either love or hate his style. Personally I think he brings books to life.

"Suspenseful as You Would Expect from Cussler"
If you could sum up The Storm in three words, what would they be?suspense, intrigue, wit
Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?Scott Brick is an excellent narrator. You think you're hearing different people's voices. He manages to keep the excitement and suspense alive.
Which character – as performed by Scott Brick – was your favorite?Joe Zavala and the whole Aswan dam incident.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?The description of the things creating the storm were compelling. I enjoyed the inclusion of the Pain Maker and thought that was quite intriguing.

"Great As Usual"
If you could sum up The Storm in three words, what would they be?Grabs and Holds
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Storm?Too many memorable moments to allow me to single out just one!!
Which scene was your favorite?I liked the scene in the well where our heroes use an old tire in a really clever way.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?I love these CC books. They never disappoint. I hold my breath, breathe a sigh of relief, then hold my breath again. Scott Brick makes the scenes and the characters come alive. I listen to these books in preference to watching movies.
Any additional comments?So glad these new books become available at Audible. I know I'll not be disappointed any time I use a credit for a CC book. Great suspense, super action, and in general: Delicious "Brain Candy"

"Another great NUMA novel!"
What made the experience of listening to The Storm the most enjoyable?First off - The Narrator! They don't get any better than Scott Brick. He is often the reason I will choose a certain title - He can bring the story 'ALIVE".
Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?Great plot and a new one for sure - Evil technology at it's best being pursued by Yemini Prince!
Have you listened to any of Scott Brick’s other performances before? How does this one compare?Always the best!
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?Fascinating! After driving home I sat in the car in my Garage to complete a chapter.
Any additional comments?Get it - You won't be sorry if you enjoy Clive and Fiction!

"Another Great Kirk Auston Thriller!"
Would you listen to The Storm again? Why?No. The only book that I have ever relistened is Quantum of Solace. Ian Flemming.
Who was your favorite character and why?Marchelli, The first new main character that I can remember.
Which scene was your favorite?When Kirk landed on the Island and was introduced to to the pain machine.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?Just another great Clusser novel.
Any additional comments?Microbots were a bit of a streach.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?The historic aspects as well as the possible future science. Great fun.

"Clive (Crank 'em Out!) Cussler. Ho hum."
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?OKay. Not Great Fiction, basic Cussler action adventure. Not bad. But, do I remember it a day later? Nope. Feels like he's cranking out these adventure tales without real passion anymore.
Has The Storm turned you off from other books in this genre?No. It was mostly what I expected.. maybe a tad less.
Would you listen to another book narrated by Scott Brick?sure.
Could you see The Storm being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?Oh it could be a TV movie of the week. No one big...
Any additional comments?Clive Cussler has written a LOT of adventure books. A Lot. A Shoot-load. A mountain. A vast amount of pulp action... and this one is a light , fun, read (listen) with out much to make you think too hard, and nothing to keep you remembering it later. Is he just cranking them out now? Gosh, I dunno... maybe... Is his heart and passion fully engaged in this one? Maybe not. It's...not bad, but not great.

"abrupt ending"

I spend about four hours per day on the road. Audio books make my commute go by much faster and make it somewhat enjoyable.

"Wish I'd Skipped It!"
What disappointed you about The Storm?Did not care for the story, and found the dialog trite and similar to a C-rated movie script!
Would you ever listen to anything by Clive Cussler and Graham Brown again?Will not choose this author again.
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?Not to my thinking. It was pretty much a waste of time. Did I learn anything? No. Did I experience anything new? No.
Any additional comments?Even though I like Sci-Fi this book was not my cup of tea.
