Publisher's Summary

Please note: This audiobook contains graphic adult content

Romantic, liberating and totally addictive, the Fifty Shades trilogy will obsess you, possess you and stay with you forever.

When Ana Steele first encountered the driven, damaged entrepreneur Christian Grey, it sparked a sensual affair that changed both their lives irrevocably. Ana always knew that loving her Fifty Shades would not be easy, and being together poses challenges neither of them had anticipated. Ana must learn to share Grey's opulent lifestyle without sacrificing her own integrity or independence; and Grey must overcome his compulsion to control and lay to rest the horrors that still haunt him.

Now, finally together, they have love, passion, intimacy, wealth, and a world of infinite possibilities. But just when it seems that they really do have it all, tragedy and fate combine to make Ana's worst nightmares come true....

What did you love best about Fifty Shades Freed?

the story line and the way it was built from book one to the end of book three

    Any additional comments?

I did get a bit frustrated wit the complete narration of subject lines and other mundane details of the email conversations.

    "Such a lot of hype"
Is there anything you would change about this book?

Definitely, I would cut a third of the sex out and condense the series into one book with a reasonable story line.

Would you be willing to try another book from E. L. James? Why or why not?

Not for a long time. Too much drawn out sex in the middle of the story just getting going. Repetitive language. I found myself fast forwarding past the sex to get back to the story.

What three words best describe Becca Battoe’s performance?

    Not too bad.

Was Fifty Shades Freed worth the listening time?

Yes and no. I enjoyed the book but became frustrated with Anastasia's language and her "Inner Goddess"

    Any additional comments?

Just how naive can a woman be? Miss Steele and Mr Grey? Come on. A college student who is absolutely stunning and still a virgin??? Was this set in the wrong era??? A virgin who has rough initial sex then repeats it the next morning??? Unbelievable.

    "Predictable, irritating"
What would have made Fifty Shades Freed better?

If it was ONE book instead of drawn out to three

Has Fifty Shades Freed turned you off from other books in this genre?

    No

What three words best describe Becca Battoe’s performance?

    Understandable, and good inflections

    Any additional comments?

This set of books to me, was whiny and monotonous and not very well written. Could have put everything in to one book instead of stretching it out and making it boring. This set of books ticked me off more than inspired me. By the third book you just knew how the characters were going to react and what they were going to say. AND I found myself saying "NOT fair" a lot and rolling my eyes. I don't think I would recommend this book to anyone.

    Mr Grey of course

    Which scene was your favorite?

First night in the pleasure room

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

"The hype sold this series - 100% for marketing"
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

Narrator had a very irritating whiny voice especially when trying to "change" characters

What could E. L. James have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Condese the 3 books into 1 book I was often bored and impatient with the "perfection" of Christian Grey.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Becca Battoe?

Someone with a less specific accent? I loved Davina Porter in the Outlander series

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

It certainly made me question my idea of what is acceptable sex between committed couples who are open and honest with each other. It also reminded me of how dangerously overwhelming sexual attraction can be, especially for the 18 - 25 age group.

    Any additional comments?

Take away all the kinkery sex and it was just a feel good Mills and Boon story marketed by a brilliant publisher! I loved the covers of the books

    "Oh Christian!"
What made the experience of listening to Fifty Shades Freed the most enjoyable?

Knowing that Ana was able to bring her '50 Shades' into the light. I had been told that I would need to read all three books to fully understand the story of Ana and Christian and even though it was hard going sometimes I was really pleased that I persisted and read to the end.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Fifty Shades Freed?

I really enjoyed the last two chapters when we heard Christians first impressions of Ana - she had him from the start. He was so arrogant - but with this coming at the end of the book it was great to know just how Christian ticked.

What does Becca Battoe bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I have also read the book and I think Becca was able to give the characters more definition.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Strangely enough it was the third last chapter when four year old Christian speaks (in his mind) about what life with his new family means to him. Unfortunately this is fiction imitating life. I felt so sad for this little boy who had endured so much.
