"Love this one"
I really enjoyed this book there was a lot happening slightly unbelievable the main character brings up his daughter alone and is too frightened to tell her he wants a life of his own when she is an adult. However I did enjoy it very much.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?I had quit reading Danielle Steel books for a while and after hearing about this one I decided I'd give it a try, it was a fantastic book!

"A good relaxing book"
What did you love best about Hotel Vendome?It is relaxing to listen to it, the narrator is very good.
What about Fred Stella’s performance did you like?his pronunciations of the foreign words were flawless and characters portrayals are consistent throughout the book.

"Nothing Nothing Nothing"
I can now say that I have listened to an entire Danielle Steel book wherein absolutely NOTHING HAPPENS. I kept waiting for something resembling a climax to a book, listening ... listening ... listening. Save your money/credit.

"Disappointment..."
I like Danielle Steele and have read many of her books. This one,however, is so dull and so predictable that I didn't even finish it. It's like a long overview of a story that could have been so much more. And the narrator speaks like he is reading a story to a room full of 5 year olds. It was a miss on all counts so I'll wait for her next work to come out and hope for better.

"Repetitive, boring, repetitive"
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?Everything.
Would you ever listen to anything by Danielle Steel again?Don't think so.
How could the performance have been better?Need to find a more vibrant narrator. Stella is too monotone. No emotion.
Any additional comments?Very disappointed. Needs to go back to writing books comparable to her first novels.

"Great pastime"
What made the experience of listening to Hotel Vendome the most enjoyable?It is a perfect staff for relaxation. I call it a "brain candy."
How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?No need. The story serves relaxation purpose perfectly.
Which character – as performed by Fred Stella – was your favorite?All are pretty nice.

"disappointing"
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?to have put more thought and energy into it. Was as though this book had to be written in a hurry.
What do you think your next listen will be?hard to say.
If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Hotel Vendome?all--I would have started over.

"If only it were so easy to raise a child."
Where does Hotel Vendome rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?It ranks a 7. Worth the credit.
Any additional comments?This was a good story about a guy raising his daughter after his wife leaves them. You see the dissappointment a child experiences when a parent falls selfishly short. But you get the feel good of a fictional story when the child grows up happiky ever after.
