Pro: This book is a great guide to understanding where you are and preparing for the next steps along your leadership journey.

"John C Maxwell at his very best"
The five levels of Leadership, narrated by John himself is John at his very best. Easy to understand, focused, and right on great information reguardless if you are at "C" Level or just starting out in leadership. Easy listening, you'll want to replay it over and over.

"Content is excellent."
If you could sum up The 5 Levels of Leadership in three words, what would they be?Simple, True, Implementable.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?Actually best to divide into chunks to digest.
Any additional comments?As typical of Maxwell, powerful concepts simplified to very implementable steps. Enjoy that Maxwell reads the content as well.

"This book will make you a better leader."
This book about the five levels of leadership is very detailed and informative. First the reader is introduced to the five levels, then takes a more in-depth look into each level. Maxwell describes the upside(s) and downside(s) to each level and discusses best behaviors for a leader on that level. He also offers a helpful tool for leaders to use to determine their current level of leadership.
There are a lot of great take-aways from this book. For me, one of the greatest take-aways is that, as a leader, you are not always on the same level with all the people you oversee. Rather, your level is unique to the relationship you have built with each person. Therefore, one of the most important aspects of leadership is putting time and energy into supporting and growing the people you oversee.
If you are in a leadership position and you want to be better at what you do, you MUST read this book.2 of 2 people found this review helpful -

"Practical Thinking Towards Leadership"
What did you love best about The 5 Levels of Leadership?I love that The 5 Levels of Leadership is constructed in a way that seems obtainable. Often leadership development books sound great but leave me scratching my head at where to begin, or worse, leave me questioning my leadership ability. Maxwell's 5 levels of leadership makes it easy for me to analyze my leadership without devaluing it. It is a very practical and approachable guide to improving leadership.
What did you like best about this story?During the section dealing with level 2 leadership, relationship building, Maxwell poses 4 great questions about those that work for us. The design of the questions probe the thought of do we really know those that work for us? Do we know what motivates them? Do we care? I shared these 4 questions with those that lead in my organization and asked them to answer the questions about those that they lead. We were all astonished at the results. Our employees were so impressed that we took time to get to know them and to understand their motivations and aspirations. I look forward to reaping the benefits of stronger relationships in my organization.
What does John C. Maxwell bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?I love audio books! In this particular case, you feel like you are at a seminar or hosting a visit to your business by Maxwell. The delivery of the message by its author drives the points home and personalizes the message especially when Maxwell opens up about his own leadership highs and lows. It was a great call narrating his own work.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?I felt an overwhelming sense of hope and inspiration after listening to this book. Often in leadership, a leader's well of experience and knowledge can seem to run dry. Listening to The 5 Levels of Leadership gave my leadership a jolt of vitality and motivated me to incorporate Maxwell's thinking into my own leadership and more importantly the leaders I serve.
Any additional comments?A must have for anyone who is leading others or aspires to be a leader. Maxwell has packaged leadership in a way that allows for systematic growth towards the goal of better influencing others. This audio book motivated me to consider more books from Maxwell for my professional library.

"A Hearty Thumbs Up!!!"
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?I would heartily recommend this book, especially for aspiring leaders. You will never know where you need to grow, until you can analyze where you currently are on the leadership journey. The level you are on becomes your starting place with a clear map of where you are going and how to get there. Thanks a million John!
