Vanda Barkowski is in trouble. As the owner of a hot nightclub, she's more unconventional than most of her fellow vampires, and if some think her a little out of control, then so be it. But after three former employees filed a complaint about her temper, Vanda is sentenced to an anger-management class. Worse, Phil Jones agreed to be her sponsor. Phil, the mortal who is forbidden to her....
If Vanda knew who - or what - Phil really is, she'd reconsider her attraction to him, for his true nature is wilder than anything she'd ever imagined. He has tackled the beast within and now is the perfect person to help Vanda with her rage... if only he can keep his cool when she makes him so undeniably hot. But with rogue vamps on the loose, will they ever have their forbidden nights?

"The Vampire Bad girl"
I have been waiting for Vanda's turn to do the love dance. And who better to tango with than Phil. I enjoyed this story. It had the right amount of tug and pull between Vanda and Phil. There romance was hot ,sassy and sexy. And there were some surprises to boot. I am fan of the Love at Stake series. SO if you like the series you'll like this one. The narrator did a fine job.
Say something about yourself!
"Overall Story is Great"
Narrator did not keep up with the character to this point. Her narration left quite a bit to be desired. 90% of the accents for characters were either gone, or awfully done. Big bummer, because this could have been an awesome installment, but was ruined by a bad performance. Again, this series would have been so much better if they could have found a narrator up to the job and stuck with that person. The story itself is great, and moves the series plot along, and the main characters are interesting.
"Lack of consistency because of different narrators"
I am really enjoying the series
One of the main characters Vanda had an accent in previous books, Gregori is now pronounced as Gregory , Jack, the hero from last book went from French accent to no accent. ........I could go on but I do understand using different narrators but the lack of consistency between books about different character accents is a huge fail!!!!!
"Liked the story but not the narrator."
I was not able to get into this book as much as others because of the narrator. One of the biggest fails of this narrator was that Wanda had an accent and sounded like a tough cookie in other books but her version made her sound like a timid, whiney girl. Also, Jack, the main character from the last book had an accent and his name was pronounced differently but in this book he had no accent. I would still recommend the book if you like the series.
"enjoyed the story not the narrator"
I enjoyed the story and while it was not my favorite of the series it held my interest.
I liked the meshing of the supernatural worlds
She made everyone sound like they were 5 years old. I got the impression that the charactors were whinny and dependent and having read and listened to the other books in the series I know thats not the case
Not really.
This was a good book that moved the story line along
