Six years ago, Lucy Kincaid was attacked and nearly killed by an online predator. She survived. Her attacker did not. Now Lucy’s goal is to join the FBI and fight cyber-crime, but in the meantime, she’s volunteering with a victim’s rights group, surfing the Web undercover to lure sex offenders into the hands of the law. But when the predators she hunts start turning up as murder victims, the FBI takes a whole new interest in Lucy.
With her future and possibly even her freedom suddenly in jeopardy, Lucy discovers she’s a pawn in someone’s twisted plot to mete out vigilante justice. She joins forces with security expert and daredevil Sean Rogan, and together they track their elusive quarry from anonymous online chat rooms onto the mean streets of Washington, D.C. But someone else is shadowing them: A merciless stalker has his savage eye on Lucy. The only way for her to escape his brutality may be another fight to the death.

"Badly Written Romance Masquerades as Thriller"
This horrible waste of time is marketed as a mystery and thriller, but it's a badly written manipulative romance novel. Shallow characters that induce eye-rolling, a sadly underdeveloped subplot apparently written as filler--perhaps the author had too recently read "Kiss the Girls"- so poorly done as to be embarrassing. In fact, if this book were any more full of filler, it would be sold at Wal-Mart in giant bags of dog food. Don't waste your time.
"Awful!"
Didn't like it. Had no idea what was going on. . Am a fan of narrator but I would give a definate thumbs down for the whininess in her voice and the slow pace she chose to read. Confused because I didn't know the story of any of the characters, and you definately need to. Listening to the first one would have helped in understanding the premise in this one but I'm not sure I would have liked it even then. There was something about this weird killer in there, that there was a small part about, but I have no idea what happened to him/her because we were apparently supposed to be focused on this knight in shining armor/damsel in distress story between Sean and Lucy. I know I was close to the ending but I shut it off permanently without even caring about what I might have missed. Will not buy another of her books and would not recommend this one.
Sense I was a teenager I loved books..thanks to my father.
"Great!"
I would highly recommend this audio. The book is well written and the storyline just keep you wanting more.
Ann Marie Lee is amazing and compared to other narrators that I have listened she ranks up there! Her style and tone was well suited for this book and will be looking forward to hearing her doing other audios.
What moved me in this audio is the strong main character Lucy and her ability to over come what had happend to her in her past.
This is my first read by this author and plan to buy more of her audios which I have done already. I look forward to more audios listening by Ann Marie Lee (Narrator) and books Allison Brennan.
I get so excited sometimes about writing a review..good or bad...that why sometimes I misspell words..lol..
"I think I will buy the hard book instead!!"
After reading the story line this book seemed interesting. I never read anything from the author and wanted to give it a try..big mistake! The story line is actuallly interesting but the narrator makes it almost impossible to read. I couldn't finish..her voice is so annoying. She was not the right person for this book. I think I might get the book because I really did like the story..
"Awesome!"
I love how this author writes, she has you on edge through out the audible book. This series is a must have.
