The ultimate secret. The ultimate agent. The President's vampire. Zach Barrows is an ambitious young White House staffer whose career takes an unexpected turn when he's partnered with Nathaniel Cade, a secret agent sworn to protect the President. But Cade is no ordinary civil servant. Bound by a special blood oath, he is a vampire. Cade battles nightmares before they can break into the daylight world of the American dream, enemies far stranger-and far more dangerous-than civilians have ever imagined. Blood Oath is the first in a series of novels featuring Nathaniel Cade-the President's vampire.

"Fabulous summer read"
I had been through a couple of really bad books right after I finished The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest (which I loved). I decided on this one as a lark and I am impressed. You won't be sorry. I do love a good vampire story that plays like a movie in my head.
I love books and animals. I enjoy all sorts of genres, anything from history to supernatural.
"Great spin on supernatural world"
This has broaded the vampire genre with its political action. Where most vampire novels are romantic in idea.
Definitely recommend this to supernatural and vampire fans.
The narrator was ok at first, it took me a bit to get use to him. Overall the narrator and author did superb.
Hope there are more to come.
"Kind of like those 1950's crime dramas..."
I found the book a treat to listen to. Well written, nicely read and a total "bubble-gum for the mind" experience. So much about vamps is all dark and goth, where this is much more about the redemption thing. Think "Forever Knight" or "Angel" sort of situation. I recommend it for a nice reading get-away.
"Blood Oath"
Not your everyday blood sucker book which I try to avoid. Great adventure am awaiting the next installment hope it will be as well written.
"Original and Excellent"
I didn't think I would like this book because of how overhyped Vampires are these days. On the contrary, it was amazing! Assuming this will be a series, I can't wait until the next one comes out.
"Great Listen"
I loved this story. Blood Oath kept my interest. Novel had great mix of characters and Bronson Pinchot is a wonderful reader. I cannot wait for the next book to release. No doubt this series is going to be fun.
"Hellboy fans - an occult gov't agency tale!"
If you like the premise of the graphic novel / film Hellboy, I think you'll like this novel. There are macabre forces at work in the world. Most have unfriendly intentions toward human-kind. And the United States government has secret assets to counter them. This is the story of a vampire pledged to serve the office of the president since the days of Lincoln.
"WOW do not miss this book"
What a great book. I cannot wait to read/listen to more by this author. Vampire and Zombies a great combo.
"Pretty good"
I was pleasantly surprised by how good this book was, although some of the side characters grated on my nerves. The action was well done and not frivolously bloody, and the main character is interesting.
I hope that if there is another book, the author will flesh out the characters more and give a little more subtlety to the characters.
