Sophisticated, fast, and unbelievably accurate, it can turn the average soldier into an expert marksman almost instantly. However, it was developed by a German manufacturer without a U. S. Production contract. Warfield Arms, a Denver based firearms' company, hires Chad Hunter as a private weapons designer. Chad had worked for the German company, and is asked to return to Germany and persuade them to take Warfield as their U. S. partner. Sweetening the deal, Hunter tries to convince Frank Baldwin, an optics engineer with the world's most advanced rifle scope design, to join them. The scope as bait, Chad is sure the Germans will take the deal. Instead Hunter and Baldwin are drawn into a nightmare of murder, extortion and assassination leaving the destination of this new weapon up for grabs.
