Publisher's Summary

Little Scallop should be happy. She's a princess of the Mollusk tribe, rulers of beautiful Mollusk Island. And she has two fun friends - Aqua and Surf - who just happen to be mermaids.

But Little Scallop is bored. Her warrior brothers are allowed to do exciting things, like spying on the pirates who live on the other side of the island. Little Scallop longs to have a real adventure. When Aqua and Surf invite her to go pearl-diving - even though she knows she shouldn't - she can't resist.

So late one night, she sneaks off into forbidden waters with Aqua and Surf. That's when the trouble starts - they run into a fierce storm and a strange ship sailed by men who would love to capture a mermaid. Soon, Little Scallop is caught up in the adventure she always wanted. The question is: can she and her friends get out of it?

Forever Never: listen to another Never Land adventure.

PNR is my prefered genre, but I also enjoy any lighthearted, funny, steamy stories. Listening to books helps me to do mindless housework.

What made the experience of listening to Escape from the Carnivale the most enjoyable?

    Jim Dales excellent performance

What did you like best about this story?

I especially enjoyed learning more about the mermaids and their interactions with the Mollusks as well as getting to know more about Little Scallop.

    Which scene was your favorite?

This was such a short story that there wasn't enough time for a huge emotional buildup. In general I enjoy the pictures the authors create.

    Any additional comments?

This story takes place shortly after the first Peter and the starcatchers book and interestingly does not even have Peter in it (although there is one very breif mention of him). I would suggest that this selection could be listened to between Peter and the Starcstchers and Peter and the Shadow Theaves.
