Sometimes temptation…
A hardened mercenary as adept in bed as in battle, Simon Quinn can have any woman he wants, but he prefers those who know the rules of the game. That way it’s easier to leave them behind.…
Can't be avoided.
But Lysette Rousseau is one female he can’t figure out. Beautiful, sensual, seductive, she should be the perfect match for Simon, yet something about her ties him in knots. Bold and manipulative one time, sweetly innocent the next, she is an enigma bound to bring trouble…impossible to resist.

"WELL I WAS TEMPED ... AND I'M SO GLAD I WAS"
Ms Day I love love love all your books and cannot wait for the next one to be released...... but do you realise I can't get my work done properly, my family's living on take-outs and I've now become an insomniac. If you like sexy Georgian romance listens then my tale shows you just how addictive this series is as once you start listening you just won't want to stop.
This is another captivating story but this time it's about an evil villain, mistaken identity, three romances - one's heartbreaking, one's fiery and one's about forgiveness. They all have passion, tension, deception, danger, seduction, betrayal and lots and lots of sex by brilliant characters that you sympathise and empathise with. Not really a stand alone listen as most of the characters have parts in previous books.
Worth a credit? Yes, but as I've said before, they are all very reasonably priced so splash your cash sit back and enjoy. But a word of warning - get all your work done first and pre-prepare your meals!!
I started out listening to books for work and now have become addicted. Every where I drive is a new adventure...
"Espionage, Revenge and betrayal ... and more"
From the last few books, I have loved Simon Quinn. He is a good man and he is always willing to fight for what he believes in. Lysette is stuck in a situation that she has no control over and no memory past two years. This book has to be the best mystery/ adventure of the series. I was caught up in the espionage and wanted to know everything about the families and what was going to happen next. This book is work the listen too, but if you are only interested in the sex, this book carries more weight on the plot than the exploits. But there is the same chemistry and intense love affair that you would find in Sylvia's books.
I enjoyed every minute of this book. I have listened to it more than once now and is on my read again list. I have to say that Justine Eyre's ability to perform in many accents and provide such emotion through the words is truly a gift. She is one of my favorite narrator. Thanks to Sylvia Day and Justine Eyre for their brilliant collaboration.
"Another stunning performance"
Justine Eyre is a wonderful narrator and makes all the Georgian books come to life. I would defiantly recommend.
I enjoy all the Georgian series, I can't put them down. I need to pace myself, I have her last book to read and will be listening this weekend.
"Hated that this was the last of the series!"
The multiple levels of intregue and numerous characters, interwoven to provide an absolutely wonderful plot.
I have not found a romance/erotica that compares to Don't Tempt Me. Multiple plots and multiple couplings leave this book on a level of its own!
Justine Eyre's narration brought the characters to life. I could not have imagined such a varying of voices and accents.
The culmination of the drama had me on the edge of my (car) seat! I was thankful for traffic, so that I did not have to sit in the driveway to finish. My husband would have interupted and I would have been angry.
"not enough focus on the main romance"
This book is fine if you don't mind the following:
1. A complicated storyline
2. A further complication of French names that are slightly similar (twins called Lynette and Lysette who get confused for each other and you as a listener get confused even though you never see them! also two important male characters De Garnier and De Jardin... these sound slightly similar to me)
3. A narrator who puts an inflection on every single sentence she says. Argh
4. Several romances going on at the same time, none of them fully developed in a convincing way.
I love Sylvia Day, but sometimes she does not develop the romance in a satisfying manner, and this was one of those cases where there was too much else going on in the story, and too many different romances... I would have loved to see what happened to both twin sisters in more detail, rather than hear all about the other elements of the plot in such detail.
I read all sorts of novels, not just romances, and it is my belief that very few romance authors do a good job of the "side story". Sylvia Day, Nora Roberts and Lisa Kleypas all SOMETIMES succeed - but this book was not an example of that.
Mother of 3, grandmother of 6, retired nurse and substance abuse counselor. Thrilled to have the time to read or listen to books again.
"the best one in the series"
i enjoyed this series by Sylvia Day but i think i enjoyed the last book best, not near as much sex in it compared to the 3rd book but more normal or believable. i enjoyed following all the characters through out the series and all in all it was a good story from book to book once i got past the narrator but to be truthful by the end of the 4th book the narrator no longer annoyed me. don't know if it was because i was used to her by then but it kind of scared me, maybe i'm listening to too may audible books!
"Two in one, or?"
I thought the book was hard to listen to, actually stopped to listen for a while
I'll liked that they change everything
Not my favorite
I don't going to lissten to i again
