Publisher's Summary

A breathtaking journey toward self-discovery and true love, from the author of If I Stay.

When sheltered American good girl Allyson "LuLu" Healey first meets laid-back Dutch actor Willem De Ruiter at an underground performance of Twelfth Night in England, there’s an undeniable spark. After just one day together, that spark bursts into a flame, or so it seems to Allyson, until the following morning, when she wakes up after a whirlwind day in Paris to discover that Willem has left. Over the next year, Allyson embarks on a journey to come to terms with the narrow confines of her life, and through Shakespeare, travel, and a quest for her almost-true-love, to break free of those confines.

Just One Day is the first in a sweepingly romantic duet of novels. Willem’s story - Just One Year - is coming soon!

    "Seriously?!"

Ok look this is not an awful book. I actually quite enjoyed many parts throughout. With that said are here comes the but. It was about 5 hours toooo long and in my humble opinion had the most unsatisfying ending the author could possibly think of.

Seriously I imagine said author sitting in the study having wrote the whole book and thinking "humm how shall this end....?" "awful?" "YES! it shall be awful!" Then they spent the next two weeks making sure it was perfectly A W E F U L.

To wrap it up my biggest beef with ”Just One Day” is this, I didn’t like the herione. Simple as that. She is ungrateful, has no idea who she is, constatnly second guesses herself, and CRIES CRIES CRIES 90 percent of the book. I don't want to read this person I know enough of these people in real life.

Like I said, not all bad. I was at least 2 parts inspired and 3 parts annoyed. If you love to travel, or want to travel especially of the European variety AND, you don't mind lots of mello drama and teen angst, this is a book for you.

    "Amazing"

A beautiful story of love and loss and finding yourself along the way. The narrator does a great job at portraying the characters and drawing you deep within the book. I seriously can not wait until fall for Willem's story.
