Publisher's Summary

Readers of I Am Number Four, The Maze Runner, and Legend will love this exciting new adventure series by the co-creator of the groundbreaking television show Twin Peaks, with its unique combination of mystery, heart-pounding action, and the supernatural.

Will West is careful to live life under the radar. At his parents' insistence, he's made sure to get mediocre grades and to stay in the middle of the pack on his cross-country team. Then Will slips up, accidentally scoring off the charts on a nationwide exam.

Now Will is being courted by an exclusive prep school...and followed by men driving black sedans. When Will suddenly loses his parents, he must flee to the school. There he begins to explore all that he's capable of - physical and mental feats that should be impossible - and learns that his abilities are connected to a struggle between titanic forces that has lasted for millennia.

What the Critics Say

"Mark Frost has created a wonderfully inventive and exciting tale where one exceptional teenager must discover the truth about his family...and himself. The mysteries are unexpected and the mythology is impressively original. A remarkably suspenseful ride. I can't wait for the next installment!" (Chris Columbus, director of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone)

    "For Younger Readers"
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

The book had good flow at times. It really was for twenty or under.
    At times hard to follow.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

More suspence. More of a story. Nothing was that interesting except for assumed revenge

What three words best describe Nick Chamian’s performance?

    Not very good

Was The Paladin Prophecy: Book 1 worth the listening time?

    Not worth listening to.

    Any additional comments?

If I were fifteen maybe this book would have been o.k.

    "Ok, I'm sucked in."

I've been a fan of Frost's books for a couple decades now, so I was quite pleased to see on on Audible.

The story flow is a bit formulaic, but I like the characters, conspiracies and suspense. It has particularly good geek appeal. And, despite these seeming lukewarm words, I found it engaging and thought provoking.

Mostly, I just got hooked and can't wait for the next book in the series.

    "Awsome Story"

I found that once I started to read this book I didn't want to stop. This a great story about new super heros coming into their powers. This is a wonderful development of characters and beginning of a potential series that could hold readers' interest for many years. I am already waiting to read the next book!
