"Give me a sec while I dry my eyes....."
Wow~ I would have to say yes, but this is one very intense story...at least for me it was. Yes, I am a girl...yeah, girls are a little more emotional, but even manly men are allowed to get teary eyed over the conclusion of this one.
What can I say, it's an intriguing & compeling story. The writing & narraration is so well done that you feel like you are right there living it or that you are at least being told the story by someone who actually experienced a real situation. It doesn't really have that
The narration was so amazing, but I have to say... holy moly, there is one scene with the Dr. when she(he) says
I had planned to, but I just couldn't do it....it was just too intense. I had to take 2 seperate breaks which is very unlike me to be honest. I usually like to just plow through from start to finish.... however, it is now 4:30 a.m. because once I got back into it I couldn't turn it off because it got so intense. Then, I had to write this review while it was still fresh in my thoughts....not that I will be forgetting this one any time soon.
This story is about the ugly up-close and personal side of terrorism. But it is truely about bravery, patriotism, honor, loyalty, and the ultimate sacrifice.
I highly recommend this audiobook~
Happy listening~

"Can't stop listening!"
Steven Weber brings each character to life! You can actually picture them as the story progresses.
No.
This is a great listen!
"Best of America, honor and character astounding"
The suspense, the real drama, the detail and the love story between the main character and his wife. The bravery of America's soldiers who are willing to lay their life down so all Americans can live free and be critical of American millitary. The reader of the book brings this story to life: especially the funeral of the fallen soldier. I was listening to the last portion of the story while shopping for groceries and could not help but cry. I had to explain to people I was O.K. but listening to a great book. This story is what makes America the best country in this world.
The bravery of America's soldiers, the honor they bring to our country and the fact that the millitary men and woman go beyond their duties to keep our country safe is stunning to those of us who live our lives in relative safety and warmth of our homes.
Steve Weber brings a realm of reality and emotions to the story. He brings the book to life.
I laughed and cried. I thought the light hearted banter among the soldiers was funny, I also could envision the scene where they stole the truck in Africa and then tried to explain the
The book and the story was so inspiring. My small troubles of everyday life seem so small compared to one man giving up his life for his fellow soldiers and the freedom that we so much enjoy in America.
"Exceptionally well written and narrated audiobook"
This audiobook is incredible; I enjoyed it from the first chapter to the last. Couch and Gladorisi do an excellent job of writing. The story is very well conceived, flows well and is very believable. Steven Weber does a very good job of narration.
After reading a previous review, I had concerns this book might be a 'little mushy,' it isn't! It's about Navy Seals and their heroic wives who never seem to get the credit they deserve for their sacrifices while their husbands are deployed to keep us safe.
I will warn you, this is a great book worth every minute of listening. In fact, you will probably be wishing it were longer - I would rate it a 10 if I could,,,but I hated the way it ends.
"WHAT CAN I SAY"
I spend a great deal of time in my car and have very little time to read the book. So I would say yes.
The plot was predictable in a good way, but the action was non stop.Good guys win, bad guys lose. At times I found myself driving slower to listen to a little more. Edge of my seat no but, always wanting more.
Couldn't say but, I would love to listen to him again.
YES, as a man and an Amercian.
It is simple to to bad mouth Amercia, Why because we care. We fight the worlds battles with little help or understanding. Kill Bin Landen and half the world wants to kill all Americans and the other half second guesses every move. What other country would allow you to do that. The men of the Seals do missions that few could or would do and should be respected and honored in every way posible.
"Pageturner....you feel like your inside the story"
Never read the print version but this was a very good audiobook.
The attack to retrieve the CIA agent and the funeral procession at Coronado.
First book read by Weber but he did an excellent job with changing characters and keeping the listener engaged.
You bet, great story
buy this one...cannot say that about many books of this type but this was an excellent story well read..
"A Great Book. I Cannot Wait For The Movie."
Forget Tom Clancy and concentrate on Dick Couch. This writing was superb. Action from page one to the end. This was one book I did not want to end. I cannot wait for the movie.
Absolutely. Each character was an important part of the book. Easy to follow
Yes. I was disappointed in Weber. I don't know what he used to prepare for reading but as a retired Navy Chief, you pronounce a Navy Corpsman as COREMAN, not CORPSEMAN.
I enjoyed every portion of the book
I will look for more from Dick Couch.
Too long gone, two wrongs right, to a brighter day and Tupelo night . . .
"Wow . . ."
This book took me by surprise. The content, the pacing, the performance. All first rate.
I've been a Tom Clancy fan for years, but have hesitated in reading co-authored titles. In my experience, most are not on par with Clancy's solo work. So, when I first saw this book, on which Clancy is not a co-author, I was very skeptical. Clancy lends his name to it to promote it.
In reading so many favorable reviews, I took a chance. Glad I did. Couldn't stop listening.
Steven Weber did a great job with the narration.
"Frequent Listener"
Can't wait for the movie to come out next weekend. I just completed two other Tom Clancy books on tape and of the three this one is my favorite. George does a good job reading as he always does, engaging yet calm and clear. I told my wife when this comes out at the theater she will have to have her tissues ready for the ending, that is all I'll say. Great listen.
"Shocked at how enjoyable this was!"
Right at the top. My first book that is a novelization and my expectations were pretty low. This was awesome!
Unbroken - Emotional and action packed

Great story, great performance, all around awesome! I got teary eyed!
