Firstly, the TITLE is completely misleading. This book was much more about the bible & accepting Jesus Christ, than haunting demons, possessions, & Satan.. Secondly, It just plain was not believable. The first chapter really kept my interest & was very intriguing. Then it just got to be ridiculous...... the writer's actions & reactions just didn't follow human nature. I was looking for a good, scary, TRUE story about demons, hauntings, or possession, where good probably triumphs over evil, perhaps with a mention of Jesus here & there..... not a Bible lesson.

No, this book has not turned me off to others in this genre. I would take anoother chance. This topic is very interesting & believable to me.

Too many religious references, & very seemed to be very contrived.

It was unpredictable at times...... just too fake & religious.

Don't waste your time unless you're looking for a religious type read.

about 1/3 of the way in the author acknowledges that audio recordings exist of "the voice" which i feel just teases the listener. anyone know where those tapes are?

My own mind.... what I enjoyed most about the story was the thinking, picturing and asking myself could I see this happening. My answer was I really couldn't see it as being true... but who knows. I honestly hope it was all B.S. lol Could be real, you explore yourself.

I'd compare to the Bell Witch, difference is a big one though. The Bell Witch has a lot of documentation.

Authentic, engaging, and fascinating, I loved this book, it was engrossing, it was real, it was frightening, intriguing and addictive.This is a book written by a Christian, expect it to be from a Christian perspective. This subject matter could be difficult to believe if you have never experienced anything like it before. I was intrigued by this book because I, like the author found myself accidentally in very similar circumstances (minus the witch who was going to be sacrificed on Halloween). This book validated my own experiences and likewise I can validate this book as real. I have been on the phone when all the other phones suddenly went dead. The phone wiring turned out to be disconnected but the phone connection I was on worked until I hung up. It should not have worked at all if the wiring was disconnected in the natural. The phones had all been working prior then suddenly they went dead. Nothing in the natural world could account for the phone line suddenly being disconnected no human could have done it. Demons can move matter like unplugging the main phone line yet allowing just one extension to continue to work. I have had all the electronics in my home go dead for days then suddenly they all work again but the power never went out. How about a garage door that opened and closed when it wanted to. WE COULD NOT over-ride it and close it. There was a microwave that would turn on whenever IT wanted to. We would be in the other room and suddenly the microwave would just turn on and we would hear the rotating platter going round and round. I had to make sure that it was not plugged in whenever I left the house. I was later engaged to an electrician he could not explain any of these strange electrical issues in the house.

For me it was so real, it was so intense, I am in the middle of my own issue so I was picking up tips on how to handle or not handle my own situation, and in some instances I was sitting at home saying NO NO don't do that!!! Because I already knew what was going to happen next based on having done the same thing. You know when you are watching a TV sitcom and you know where it is going you can predict the next couple of minutes. Well that is why I can say this is a real life story, because I could predict ahead just like that with this audio book.Other reviewers at other sites complained that there are not saved recordings of the demon speaking on the telephone. I have heard a demon speak out of someone's mouth. Until it happens you can't understand how in a bone chilling instant you know that the person speaking is not the person you know. The mannerisms are different, the words may actually sound like someone speaking out of a different time and place, chills and fear run through your spine. What do you do? How do you respond? It is unbelievably scary when it happens, your instincts tell you to run for your life! Sometimes their facial features even change, they actually can morph in front of your own eyes and look completely different.(I have seen this) For those who can't accept this is true, it is only because you have never experienced anything like this-- it understandably defies all human logic and everything they understand about our world. But they are wrong!!! This book is very REAL! The spiritual world is very real.

That is hard, I don't want to give anything away, hmm, (I think this happened in chapter 10) when the author Bill Scott (was being sarcastic and joking) he told his co-worker (paraphrasing) that Bill should tell the demon spirit to bow the knee and to bring the stored witchcraft items (from another state) to Bill, in the studio. What happened next was jaw dropping, shocking, and frightening. Another really intriguing and frightening scene was when the girl entered Bill's sound proof radio control room. She shut the door, then the demon in the girl manifested and attacked Bill out of the blue, there was no-one around to help him...the situation... how he handled it...was pretty intense.I loved this book!!!!

Yes, but it was 6 hours long. I did listen to it in three chunks and two days. And then I began listening to it all over again. I loaned it to a friend who listened in the car with her teenagers they too were riveted and silent while they listened.

Get the book. If scary movies freak you out don't listen to it in bed or as you are falling asleep, that is unless you want nightmares.

All the scenes where the demon would talk were riveting.

Yes! and that is saying a lot for me. Knowing that it is a true story makes it all that more disturbing.
